Cardinals, United Way Partner To Host Hometown Huddle

Tempe, Arizona — The Arizona Cardinals are teaming with
Valley of the Sun United Way on Tuesday, October 7 for
the fifth annual NFL & United Way Hometown Huddle.
Cardinal players Anquan Boldin, Lorenzo Diamond, Tony
Gilbert, Gerald Hayes, Nathan Hodel, Bryant Johnson,
Kenny King, Preston Parsons, and Nathan Poole are
scheduled to spend several hours with 100 school
children from the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Phoenix,
Friendly House, Foundation for Blind Children,
Salvation Army, United Methodist Outreach Ministries,
and the YMCA Valley of the Sun.
The kids will participate in a football clinic at the
Cardinals’ Tempe training facility that will include
different skill stations, autographs and a
question-and-answer session with the players.
Participants were chosen from organizations based upon
reading criteria as part of the NFL’s literacy
initiative.

Cardinals’ players and Valley of the Sun United Way for
children from across the Valley who qualify.
