Right before the civil war broke out! I could never figure that out , how can you call a war civil? Anyway it has never happened with the Cards in the valley, at least not that I remember.

Did anyone see the list of injuries ST has, it's pretty bad over there right now.

Man, Rams boards are depressing as hell right now... They are expecting a blowout. I hope we completely and utterly destroy them. I hope Boldin plays this week.

no way they can run on us I just hope that Bulger (if he plays) and Bruce/Holt don't finally break out against our week DB's.

is it safe to say this is the best set of wr's we are facing to date thus far? they are the only aspect of the rams offense that worries me. nothing on their defense of course scares me.

with all that being said. any given sunday. and this is the time of game, historically we always lose.

Not as long as Bulger has broken ribs and Holt is hobbled. Still, I hate being a road fave. I won't bet on the Cards this week. Easier to take the points. :)

I don't think so. I'd take Nate Burleson, Deion Branch, and Bobby Engram over Holt, Bruce, and whoever their #3 is. Holt is great and all, but Bruce is really starting to show his age.

Isaac Bruce is better than those 3 Seattle guys by himself, even with a wheelchair.

A little known fact:

Vegas examined the betting patterns on the civil war and determined that Lee threw the Battle of Gettysburg to pay off his debts to the offshore books.

I heard that Gus Ferrotte might get the start against us instead over Bulger. Not sure if it's true. This has all the makings of a typical AZ Cardinal road disaster.

How many times have we faced a back-up QB and watched him play like a HOF'er.

How many times have we watched the Cards lay an egg after a big, emotional win.

How many times have we won a game on the road?

Tell me this script doesn't look familiar.

Come on Whiz.... let it end here. Sorry, but this is a bigger game than the Steeler game, IMO.

Go Cards!!!

we get another data point to determine if this isnt the "same old Cards"

your right Capital -- it seems many times in the past, the Cards have won an early season home game against a favored opponent (although, pretty much everyone who came to SDS was favored), people thought that that was the win to turn the season around, and then the team promptly lost the next game in horrific fashion.

If the team plays a focused, physical game -- they win.

If they play like they expect the Rams to roll over and play dead, they lose.

Wow! Reading their forums, I can't help but sympathize with them. They're fearing a stadium full of fans of the opponent. I wonder what that would look like?

just step on their throats early.

From Whis' presser yesterday he mentions that his success in Pitt on the road was his road philosophy of "Start Fast" and that he was upset they didn't do it in Baltimore, and that he was happy that we didn't let the Steelers "start fast" because that kept our crowd into it. Look for us to be aggressive early vs. the Rams and to "Start Fast" and take their crowd out of it early...and let the old Cards fans in Looie start making noise for the new Cards.

Agreed...this is the game that will show me whether we are still staring at the corner (loss), peeking around it (barely win) or have turned it and are moving forward (dominating win as we SHOULD have).

This is a game SOC would lose outright and never even be in...winless team struggling with multiple injuries and looking bad out there, road game...we had emotional game the week before.

We will find out on Sunday if SOC has left the building. If they have, this is definitely a team that can make the playoffs.

I think SOC is a thing of the past, personally. In Whis I trust.
