Sanders' was way funnier.

That's because he comes in with 5 WRs spread and runs the hurryup. Of course it is going to be funnier. I just wish you all would ride or die with me. I'm the starter. This back and forth reposting of things is sometimes worse than being banned.

This game will not be a blowout, I can tell you that right now. The Rams are like a wounded dog. This is their season. Our reputation precedes us and you got to think this team and town are thinking "It's only the Arizona Cardinals".

I like the fact that Whiz has already addressed the issue of what got us to this point. They need to go in there thinking this will be the toughest game of the season. In many ways it is.

1. It's a road game
2. A division opponent
3. A desperate wounded team
4. A normal human reaction to let down after such an emotional week and victory
5. Our inexperience

This is a HUGE game . A HUGE hump game as I refer to many times. AN opportunity to get over .500, bury a division opponent for the year, and win a road game.

Not as easy a task as it looks on paper.

I disagree that #5 would be a problem because we have a veteran team. Unless you meant inexperienced at being a winning football team.

We are still pretty young. Where do we stand, overall, on average age? I'd guess pretty young...

We did get rid of Griffith and Player, so that drops us a couple of decades right there...

Have faith in Whisenhunt. Look at the stats and injuries. Leinart will get his breakthrough game. We will blow them out.

I believe this.

I hope you are right, especially since I am making the drive there, would suck to drive home POed. I didn't get to see a single game in person last year so this is the longest I've ever gone without seeing them play live.

Hopefully we can break through on the road and getting over the "hump" and push that record over .500

Skkorp, I absolutely love you on this board. You run so hot and cold, and I never know where you are going to go. Plus, you started it all.

remember how these scenarios work with us. the simple fact alone that they have a rookie runningback (rutgers kid who's name escapes me) starting against us is recipe for a cardinals disaster. this is our chance to break the trend!

No doubt! Rookie running backs typically feasted on us... Coupled with a banged up Bulger, Orlando Pace being out, Stephen Jackson out... My lord - this has a Rams victory written all over it!

C'mon Cards!!!! BREAK THE CYCLE!!! We win this game and the Steelers beat up on the Hawks, and suddenly we are tied for First place!!!

We have no rookie starters with BB out though we do have a rookie punter.

16 of our starters are in at least their 4th season in the NFL. (The average length of an NFL career is 3.5 years)

The young guys are Leinart, Latui, Pope, EBrown, Watson and Green.

This is a far cry from the days when the Cards were the youngest team in the NFL every year. Having signed most of their starters on the Tuesday before the game. :D

Didn't they do that, but still only have one TE on the roster at one point?

It sure is better than in the past--

"prime" of a career varies by position -- but I always think that years 5 - 8 are the best for most position players. Its roughly ages 26 - 29 for the players --- young enough to be in their physical prime yet experienced enough to know what the heck they are doing.

If this team is kept together, it should get better year by year just from experience.
