CARDINALS ANNOUNCE
PRESEASON OPPONENTS
Tempe, AZ – The NFL and the Arizona Cardinals today announced their 2005 preseason opponents.
In weeks one (August 11-15) and four (September 1-2) of the preseason schedule, the Cardinals will host the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos, respectively, in two home games at Sun Devil Stadium.
Preseason weeks two (August 18-22) and three (August 25-29) have the Cardinals on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders.
Highlights include former NFC East rival Dallas returning to Arizona, new Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner facing his old coach Dick Vermeil and the Chiefs, Cardinals head coach Dennis Green squaring off against new Raiders and former Vikings receiver Randy Moss, and Denver quarterback Jake Plummer’s first return trip to Sun Devil Stadium.
Specific dates and times for the preseason games have not yet been determined. The regular season schedule will be announced next month.
“Kickoff Weekend” for the NFL’s 2005 regular season is scheduled for September 8-12.
