As unstable as Green’s spot is, vice president of football operations Rod Graves now seems safe. He had an extended discussion with vice president Michael Bidwill at Friday’s practice and Graves has talked as if he would be part of decision making going forward.

The Cardinals could restructure the front office — they have put out feelers about possible personnel hires — but Graves will likely have some role.

A scary scary thought. C'mpn Bidwill's wake up and smell the friggin' coffee!!!! How does RG deserve to stay with this team and have a say in choosing the next coach? Aaaaaaaarrrggggggggggg.

He does an excellent job on contracts, he should be retained in that role only.

It's possible that's all he will do.

He may feel he has input into picking the players, he should have none in reality though, if he stays in just a contract capacity, that's not bad at all, if he's picking players we're doomed.

He doesn't. What this story points to is that he will still be in the front office in some capacity but will likely be demoted.

Its even okay if he has say in player personnel (just adding his opinion) Just as long as he doesn't have FINAL say.

I misread what I posted!!!:doi: (remind me and I will show y'all how to do that when things slow down.) I hope he is relegated to only contracts. I can live with that. I don't want him having a big say so in the next HC. We need a new man to do that.

Could be the alcohol talking, but I'd bet a large amount of cash that Graves has not had "FINAL" say in anything so far. The Cardinal's floundering stretches back to long before Graves started. To suddenly single out a GM for the strange decisions of the Cards front office just doesn't seem fair at this point.
