Pass.

What is he going to do ? Show how to tackle in the most dangerous, break your own neck, way possible.

Harrison is over the hill, over-rated, and seems like a huge D-bag.

Why pay millions to this guy, when Alex Okafor can practically give you the same production ?

Well, he's not been brought in for his sunny personality. If there's nothing left, they'll know quickly.

Might as well bring back AW... Leadership and good for 10-15 plays... why not? Then he retires as a Cardinal anyway...

Agree but none of these last minute vets will get millions

Yes, he certainly seemed like a team player, leader, and teacher on Hard Knocks last season.

Sorry I don't watch that crap so I wouldn't know. I was more thinking out loud for reasons why they may want him. :)

Yeah. This isn't a big deal at all. It's annoying that we're letting the Steelers from 10 years ago do our pro scouting for us, but we don't have any options, because we can't choose or develop our own OLBs.

That said, anyone who thinks that James Harrison adds anything as a leader or teacher should check out Hard Knocks from last season. Dude had his own desk in the back of the LB/DL room and didn't talk to anyone. He's more Adrian Wilson than Karlos Dansby.

I think you're hitting the nail on this one; the Cardinals have failed on every attempt to develop their own OLBs since we moved to a 3-4.

Harrison is garbage, but the fact the team is even looking at him should show you what they think of the pass rushing options on our roster now. Hopefully this is a lesson to Keim that you can't wait on pass rushers to fall to you in the draft.

Hard Knocks is pretty awesome. If you don't watch it, I'm not sure why or how you could consider it "crap." It has been, in my experience, just as revealing and accurate as insider-y books like Next Man Up and A Few Seconds of Panic. I haven't read Collision Low Crossers yet, but it's on my list.

I did watch that season but I remember he was acting that way more for the Hard Knocks crew than the team itself. At least, that was the take-away I had from the season.

I think he was extra prickly for Hard Knocks--no doubt about that. But at the same time, he was literally sitting at a different desk in the meeting room, working on his own stuff, during what would otherwise be a boring position group meeting.

Even if he was only 80% of the ******* that was shown on Hard Knocks, that's still a pretty big *******.

it's really pretty crazy. they've been running a 3-4 basically since 2007 and no one, Wiz, Graves or Keim (who was in play back then) have found anyone CLOSE to manning even just one of the OLB spots in the draft. that's probably our biggest problem scouting wise (well, that and finding a QB of the future).

I feel like everyone was freaking out abut bringing in a washed up old Abraham last year and that ended up working out pretty well for us. I don't expect much out of a guy like Harrison, but even at 36 he's probably better than some of our backups.

I'm really getting tired of every old ex Steeler we bring in.. Just stop already..

It is the Steeler's Trenzador.

And remember: Silence will fall when the question is answered.

wha? I don't remember anyone freaking out about Abraham. Almost everyone saw him as a great late off-season pickup, especially since he had put up 10 sacks in his last year with the Falcons, and 9 sacks the year before that. That's not the case at all with Harrison who is a) older and b) has shown huge decline in effectiveness the last two seasons.

Maybe they are bringing him in so that the players left from the Super Bowl team can beat him with socks stuffed with bars of soap.
