If we signed a RB at number 16 he would likely play ever bit as much as Edge. The two running back thing is here to stay. Good RB's do not need any seasoning. They come ready to play right out of the box.
:thumbup: We need to groom Edge's eventual replacement. Not just draft a body to split carries. We need the package. See sig. below.;)

I agree with your assessment. There are some big playmakers that should still be available at 16. I don't think Branden Albert is worth the #16 pick.

I think if we draft a RB at our #1 he will split time with James right off the bat. This seems to be the way the NFL is headed.

The Cardinals just switched from a 2 back system when they signed EJames.

Pittsburgh ran a 2 back system. The lack of a 2nd back worth a damn forced the switch IMO.

If you are talking about the Cardinals switching this is probably the reason:

Marcel Shipp 157 for 451 JJ Arrington 112 for 370.
