But he's always hurt. He missed time with injuries every year in college and in the NFL so far. He's too small and has no technique so he just tries to run through people and gets beat up.

He's a tough SOB i'll give him that but he just can't do it behind this line. He's like Zach Walz, he's a hardass but ultimately i just think he will be replaced.

I don't think signing Rudd is a knock against any of our current LB's. My guess is that we are adding LB's because of our undersized DL. Since our DL will not be able to keep the OL off our LBs we will need a lot of depth at LB.

yeah i'm with you. we're basically terrible, bring in any and every talented player, especially veterans, that you can.

it's not like it will hurt us to have too many LBs who can play.

Bottom line this is good news. We were 3-13 and whoever is the coach we need new players. Bring 'em in - it can't hurt! GBR!

re: Fisher

Like jolt said,"kerouac and wildman and the others are entitled to their opinions."

I would add that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion concerning Levar whether I agree with it or not. Fish is a big boy now... I am sure that he will prepare for this challenge just like he has responded to many others.

I still have trouble believing that a 6-1, 240 lbs+ OLB is considered small... of course, that is my opinion....

I have several other opinions, most of which I can illustrate with video tapes... I wonder if "others" can do the same?

I agree. Also, I would rather have 4-5 quality players than one Jevon Kearse. Cards are certainly more than a few players away from being good.

I think the fact that Thompson is one slip up from a year long suspension is the smartest reason to sign a LB. I'm not sure, at all, this is primarily about Fisher.

Too small!

Well, how big is he...? and while you're at it... give us Rudd's measurements...

I think you'll find that if size is the issue, then we shouldn't have signed Rudd...

I don't think I even want to know how this factors in to when we entertain these guys on their visits.

Not that there's anything wrong with it....... :D

Sorry, Devon, but I couldn't pass on that one. I'm actually surprised no one esle caught that one.

Rudd is not an upgrade over Fisher!

Is he an upgrade over any of the other LB'ers we have now? I don't know enough about him to say for sure.

I'd rather Coach Green guys than McGinnis guys!

I have seen what McGinnis guys can do and it ain't much.

Peace

Rudd is here to play SP.T and for LB depth.

Bottom line: Ray Thompson, Levar Ficher. They got to WIN thier job this offseason. That is a good thing!

Bottom line: Every player should earn (win) his job every season. Competition for a position always makes that position stronger.
