Anybody driving a Black Cadillac Escalade with a Cardinal logo on the rear windshield on I-35 through Austin yesterday (june 18th)?

Didn't know any Cardinal fans had enough money to own a Cadillac much less afford the gas for an Escalade. :D

I did see a Cards sticker in a red Ford Escort up here. That seems more our speed.

I saw a Cards helmet decal on the back of some old beater driving around Sioux Falls the other day. I thought of pulling up next the guy and asking him if he was lost. :)

I was driving around Austin Saturday myself, didn't see any Cards fans though...although I did see about 10,000 bikers for ROT.

And you didn't call so you could buy me a beer?

No big deal. Especially since I was in Houston Saturday. :D

Austin - too many hipster music know-it-alls.
Plenty of tattoo parlors and live music venues.
Humidity.

Too many techno nerds from California. Otherwise one of the greatest places to live anywhere. And my family has been here for 150 years.

Nice to have a second home in the Valley of the Sun though. Thank you AZCards21, Derm, Jstadvl, Card Trader, RedRob, 40 year, and JGirl.

Edit: Darn I almost forgot Gee and the Jw7 brothers!
Edit2: And Card Logic and Section 11 and O and BIM et al and of course Kooter who I've met for the first time 12 times.

I'd include Skorp but he only makes me feel old instead of at home.:p

Duckjake - You'll be surprised to hear Amy and I have decided to move on down your direction. Specifically the Spicewood, Marble Falls area. We're done with the ever expanding city of Phoenix.

We'll be here for this football season so we can catch up then. Next year, season tickets for sale...at least a few games anyway.

Marble Falls is 30 winding miles from my house in Cedar Park. Look forward to a little golf at my club, Twin Creeks, and Horseshoe Bay in Marble Falls.

Spicewood has Barton Creek Lakeside and Lakecliffe and of course the ultra exclusive Austin Club. Also the first place, back in the 70s that you could get Coors beer in our area.

Ah, memories. Coors was a cult back then. My hippie buddies coming east would load up cases of Coors in their VW buswagons and bring that brew to us. Heroes, they were, those Coors smugglers.

well...

it wasn't me but if you ever see a white TransAm with a Cardinal decal in the back in San Antonio or Austin...it's me :)

I know, way too much speed for a team lacking speed at the WR position LOL

You know me; prior to deciding where to live I have to recon the golf situation thoroughly. On Saturday I spent two hours at Lakecliffe, the asst pro there lived in Flagstaff for 16 years as the head pro for Highlands. Nicest damn guy, drove me around the entire course, discussed the clubs future, etc. Come to find out Jeff Kent (baseball player) just bought the place, has numerous pro athletes involved, mentioned a few who have lots around the course. They are building a huge clubhouse there in the coming months. Price to join is going to sky rocket over the next couple of years...

Love that area.

Couple of friends of mine are members at Lakecliffe. Barton Creek Lakeside is on the same road and a great place to play.

Check out www.TwinCreeksCountryClub.com which is where I play. Best thing about TC is that I have convinced all the staff to be Cardinal football fans.

Me, too, actually. Lots of fun stuff there. Love the bats under Congress Bridge. Pretty freaking cool.

See ya this fall, DJ.

For some reason I thought you were closer to Dallas. I may have to come down there and pay you a visit soon, squeeze in a round of golf:)
