Weird, I read somewhere a couple of days ago & they were comparing the cap space on 2 different sites. One had us at 13.9 & the other 9.9. Don't remember where I seen it though. They had an explanation of the differences.

Just a guess, but Steve Keim said the rookies (draft) would use about $4 million. Maybe one site already includes that and the other site does not. ;)

^ No to the rookies. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/arizona-cardinals/cap/ has a breakdown at the bottom of the page.

And it is not the June 1st dead money adjustment on two players as Ginn is already shown as $1.5 million dead money cap hit which is his post June 1st cut figure. He was $3 million as a pre-June 1st cut.

It looks like they reworked Campbell's deal to get the extra 4 mil. If that's what they did I would think either one of two things will happen. They trade for AP or they go after someone's franchise player preferably Justin Houston.

It could be Campbell's deal or could it be that the cardinals now get the final dollar amount of Washington's Bonus money back due to his suspension. Washington got a 10M bonus in 2014 and was suspended so it might be the pro rated part given back due to that.

My question is why haven't we let go Alexander (OLB), Demens (ILB), Butler(P),Hughes(RB), Clemons (S). Could it be that they will get cut to sign the Rookies?

How was he a 3m Pre-June cut if he only had 1.5m bonus left to pay to pay? He is not a Post June cut. He is a Pre-June cut.

The roster balloons to 90 players at this time of the year so cutting the above players wouldn't make a difference......actually only Alexander would free up any CAP space.

I would do it. I simply don't like their spot in the draft, and Houston could potentially be a huge different maker. Of course, it's the draft. Someone very good might slide to them.

And will need to be replaced by someone making a bit less sooooo, yes he does but it's not pure savings because next man up also makes money.

Same for any cut presently within the top 51.

At this point there is no need for any cuts to make ends meet.

Which is the point I was trying to convey in my original post. I have a bad habit of typing my thoughts like cliff notes. :)
