Many on the board have complained that the Cards should run the ball more. Sure we can blame the offensive line but the bottom line is that we don't have good runners. Beannie Wells is a bust. Hightower is a fumbling machine especially in the red zone. The Cards usually start every series with a handoff to TH for a 1 or 2 yard gain so it is already 2 and long and time to pass.
With our inaccurate qbs and no running game, we have the worst offense in the NFL.
Add an RB to our list of needs.

I really believe the bottom line is more the poor OL play and that includes the TE position. That is not to completely excuse TH and the Bean but I am not sure anyone could do real well behind this OL.

I would try to fix the offensive line before worrying about RB, IMO.

Dumb and Dumber are not exactly helping the situation, but the three stooges, Levi Brown, Deuce Lutui, and Lyle Sendlein, are the main cause of our problems.

If this is the young core for our offensive line, then it will be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time before we see any progress in the running game.

I won't even list Faneca in this post, since he has to be gone at the end of this year.

#1 Priority on this line is to get an NFL quality center. Then an NFL quality LT. And then a run blocking guard that can actually play as well as he thinks he does.

The OL has been a big problem for years. When you look back at all the RBs we have had, there has been very little success even though some of the RBs were quite good. One of them went on to do well with the Bears and another team.
We also need a new OL coach.

It is on the o-line.

And at QB, for the most part the only QB we've been able to run for is DA. With Hall they stacked the box, with Skelton we saw a lot of that too. Last week Hightower broke 2 long runs against stacked boxes and it skewed the stats but generally speaking with our rookie QB's, we can't run.

And DA stinks, it just shows the difference between starting a rookie who isn't ready to play and starting a veteran, no matter how bad he is.

It would be nice if the Cards could get a decent pass catching TE as well. Seeing that Gronk beat LB's running routes for New England was fun to watch.
