Ouch. Cardinals beat the Fins and Huizenga finally pulls the trigger. Actually it was the blowout by the Jets that probably did them in.

Coach Dave resigns under pressure. Eddie Jones President of Football operations has already said he, himself, is gone. Chris Spielman, GM, is running scared and has dropped hints he won't be brought back either.

Now, Spurrier turned down the Gator's job.( hint, hint ) The old ball coach is a strong candidate for the job. Before anyone thinks that is crazy, just know that Wayne is a businessman with a bottom line agenda. He may have sold 72,000 tickets to last weeks game, but he can't stand losing all of the money for concessions and parking. He owns everything out there that generates revenue. The stadium formerly known as Joe Robbie, has had more fans disguised as empty orange seats than actual turnstile clickers, for most of the games this year. Wayne's chopper executed a post haste game bailout, the likes of which hasn't been seen since the Saigon bailout.

Spurrier would sell seats big time and quickly. This defensively skewed team is dull as watching paint dry. Spurrier wants nothing to do with player acquisition and that opens the door for an active GM. Spielman ain't that guy. Eddie Jones retirement opens the door for Marino to come back. Marino had a real hate relationship with Coach Dave Wannabe, the coach who puished him out.

Now what happens to Marc Trestman? He and Marino get along real well. He was brought in as the assistant head coach, yet Jim Bates gets the interim tag. Bates will have a 9 game career and will get the big adios.

P.S. Watcha doing Jimmy Johnson. If Marino doesn't come back, Jimmy just might. Jimmy Johnson your new Miami Dolphin Director of Football operations.
Coo be.

I would be surprised to see Spurrier get another NFL job with the work ethic he showed in Washington. Not saying it won't happen, but I'd be surprised. His teams in Washington were outcoached every single week.

Spurrier's performance looks better with each week of the new Joe Gibb's Redskins. They look worse now.

It can't get any worse than losing to the Cardinals LOL. For long time Cardinal fans, we have finally gotten our revenge after the 1977 55-14 shellacking.

My current issue of The Sporting News says that Huizenga really wants Nick Saban the head coach at LSU. IMO nothing will happen to the end of the season and I agree with Wallyburger there will be a complete shakeup.

Saban needs to get to the NFL quickly. If the lid gets blown off at LSU over paid recruits his time in Bayou land is over. The man is tainted.

How sweet it is too Bro'!!!! It has been a LOOOOOONNNGGGGGG time coming too!!!! I was at that game at Busch, freezing my fanny off!!!! That game was the beginning of the end of the Coryell era. Shula was ruthless that day!!! The dolphins were talking after that game(AJ Duhe I think) that they had no respect for the Cards then either. Yet they were a playoff team twice under the great Coryell. I have been waiting for this one for what seems like forever. I think that game was at Thanksgiving and on national TV too if I remember correctly. Except if it was, that would have meant there were 3 games on TV that Thanksgiving day...Cowboys and Lions the other 2. From time to time I think about that and cannot figure out how that could have been, but it I am almost certain it was at Thanksgiving!!!?? Anywho, it really was a sweet and satisfying feeling having finally beaten the dolphins after the shellacking the delivered to us that day  .
