Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has released the following six players: wide receiver Damarius Bilbo, defensive end Garrett McIntyre, quarterback Jeff Otis, center Kyle Schmitt, and tight ends Alex Shor and Andy Stokes.

In addition, the team has moved fullback James Hodgins from the Physically Unable To Perform List (PUP) to the active roster.

I like that hodgins is getting a chance.

Poor Andy Stokes. Permanent member of our All-Cut Team.

Not surprised by any of these moves - well, except for Hodgins being healthy enough to be on the active rostyer.

Me neither, but what interests me is the timing.

When's the first cutdown date? Not for a while isn't it?

Trimming our roster by 6 now gives RG the flexibility to add guys quickly. I expect to see some additions made in light of what we saw Saturday.

He might not have done well against NE, but against Pittsburgh, he was more than adequate, and only missed one block that I counted.

This team needs help running the ball. Hodgins has been Mr. Glass sofar but he is still worth a shot since we are desperate.
