Hold onto the ball, Murray!
Per Jason la Canfora of the NFL network. Interesting, very interesting.

Boy that would sure make a lot of ASFN posters unhappy.
The Miami Herald confirms that free agent LB Karlos Dansby has arrived in South Florida to meet with the Dolphins.
It's no coincidence that Akin Ayodele's release was just announced by the team. The Dolphins are clearly planning to make sure Dansby doesn't get away.

The Cardinals do a stellar job of helping their FAs drive up the price, don't they? They've been saying all along that they want Dansby and Rolle back and have been making strong overtures of such to the media, yet neither one of them even seems to be paying attention and are certainly profitting from the Cardinals' support.
Niether one of them will re-sign with the Cardinals. It's all too plain to see.
It's as if the Cardinals' FO just wants to assure the fans they made an honest try to retain these guys, when the reality is they didn't have a chance.
Agreed Mitch. Cards need to announce loud and clear they have no further interest in signing either of these guys and move on. These guys aren't coming back.
Jurecki just said on the radio the Cards have offered Dansby a deal that averages $8.5-8.7 mil a year.
Who cares about this greedy pos anymore. I'm certainly glad we aren't paying an average LB this much to be in salary cap trouble in a few years.
Why? What's the down side for the Cards?
I love posts like this. Read them for years and not one team mentioned has ever been in salary cap trouble. EVER.
Hard to understand what kind of person would call another human being a greedy pos just for wanting to make more money for his family in a business where he might not even be able to walk normally when he's 50.
Ken Lay and Jeffery Skilling are greedy pos' not Karlos Dansby.
Why? What's the down side for the Cards?
The only negative for me at this point is it could appear that the Cards don't know what their players are worth. Why I don't think it's an issue this year is because of the CBA etc what is the norm has changed. Saints are doing the same with Sharper and Fujita.
