Anquan Boldin is going home, and it’s going to cost him. The Cardinals wide receiver, who grew up in Pahokee, Fla., figures there will be about 100 family and friends coming out to Sunday’s Cardinals-Dolphins game in Miami — most, apparently, on his dime.

"I had to get some package deals going," Boldin said with a smile. "It’s good that they are supporting me but hard on the paycheck."

But the mere fact Boldin has returned has been good news for both he and the Cardinals. In his first game back, at Buffalo last week, Boldin led the team with four catches for 50 yards, and that was playing only in three-receiver sets. Both he and coach Dennis Green said Wednesday Boldin should play more against the Dolphins.

"The coaches wanted to work me in slowly but right now, they have me full go," Boldin said.

Q uarterback Josh McCown continues to be diplomatic about Boldin’s impact, but it was clear that he looked to his Pro Bowl teammate often in Buffalo.

"We really want to get the ball in ‘Q’s’ hands as much as we can," he said. "But we have a lot of guys on this offense that can make plays."

Boldin, meanwhile, would love a big game in front of the family. They are only about 45 minutes to an hour away — "Depends how you drive," Boldin quipped — and besides, he has issues with his opponent.

"I’ve always hated the Dolphins," Boldin said.

NO PROBLEMS?

Green brushed off a question about whether the offensive line — which struggled against Buffalo — would change the way it practices under new coach Everett Lindsay after Bob Wylie was fired as offensive line coach Friday.

"I’m not going to worry too much about that," Green said. "We made a move last week, I am really happy with it, I’ve got the right guy (coaching), I’ve known him for a long time and I think we’ll play better total offensive football.

"Our issues are not offensive line play. Our issues are, whether it is offense, defense or special teams, we have not been able to put the whole package together."

EXTRA POINT

The Cardinals had no one miss any practice Wednesday. Cornerback Renaldo Hill (hamstring) and linebacker Gerald Hayes (thigh bruise) both worked out, as did running back Josh Scobey (knee), who has missed the past three games.

"I’ve been watching these boys for four weeks. I am ready to get back out there," Scobey said.
