Yeah, the 4th team behind those, imo.

Jets and Vikings will go after him especially hard.

He talked about Keenum signing next depending where Cousins lands.

Schefter is about as reliable as an early 80's Yugo. If anything this proclamation is probably the kiss of death.

Cousins will not be a member of the Arizona Cardinals. Vault me.

He has better options Vikings, Broncos and Jets. The Cardinals have so many holes on offense just don’t think they can afford that but could always try.

A 3 year deal? Cousins and his agent have some balls. I couldn't care less about the $30 million considering any viable starter is going to run you 20+ but wanting to renegotiate after 3 years tells you all you really need to know.
No thanks on Cousins

Take the money and run because he is knows he cannot pull off the facade of being an elite QB long term. Any free agent QB is a free agent for a reason. Griping about the flaws of a suggested free agent is meaningless, because that's why they are a free agent in the first place but griping for over paying for a free agent... that's legit :)

Okay, I'll be the guy to say it then... this would be cool. Not amped about only a 3 year deal, but I'm sure the Cardinals are smart enough to work around that.

I think the Broncos and the Vikings have the best chance, but I hope we go all in on this.

I hope Sk is running away from Cousins as fast as he can.No freaking way Cards can pay any QB 20-30 million bucks without gutting the payroll by cutting several guys.

Cards can work the deal if the backload the contract. They are currently projected to have over $90 million in cap space in 2019.

It's possible they meant 60 mill gtd in the first 3 years.

Cousins will only get a front-loaded contract...he's all about the benjamins right now.

I was hoping they had little interest in him before. If there's any truth to this three year deal I'd hope they have no interest.

In a van...down by the river.
From the outside looking in POV:

Cards should go all in on drafting a top QB in the draft and bring in someone like Bradford to bridge the offense.

With protection issues up front and holes at WR i'm not sure that spending a boatload of cash and cap on a FA QB like Cousins is the right move here.

If you do draft a QB in the first round you'd better have a coaching staff who can develop him though. If not then yeah by all means...go get a big money vet like Cousins.

Agree, it can be a back loaded contract. The key for him will be how much is guaranteed.

Yeah, and I was more talking about being "all about the benjamins." The guy just made boatloads of cash in the past two years. He wants to win, and has said it.

I don't think there is a chance that he is coming here. We can't offer him the most money and we don't give him the best chance of winning. I think the only criteria we may rank number one in is best RB but I think the questions around the OL eclipse that.

I'm not sure he is worth the price, but who is? I think comparable talent is available at about 1/2 the price in Bradford, Teddy and Foles - but he is better than the NONE we got now.

I don't know. The Jets really only have money to offer, but not much talent.

The Broncos are pretty cash-strapped, and to add him, they might need to move away from Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, who help make that offense run. CJ Anderson might have to go too. The Broncos might be better served going with a rookie in the long run.

I don't have an argument against the Vikings. Maybe Cousins doesn't think he looks great in purple.

I'm ready to throw in the towel on all these ham & eggers and just say "screw it", let's sign McCown and let him hand & pass the rock to DJ 25-30 times a game, with some short stuff to Fitz and the TE. Draft another RB and maybe some QB project, and fix the OL. No reason the offense couldn't be formidable with a run emphasis. DJ ain't exactly Beanie Wells back there.
