For all things said about ownership over the years the one thing that has been consistent is the concern of the character of the players brought in. This unwavering commitment to a humane value as opposed to pure athletic skill has certainly cost this franchise over the years. Well now its time for the payoff.
At this point in the playoffs and against the odds this teams character will show. Its going to take a gutsy performance by both O and D lines to maintain tempo and control of the game.
YOung players like Duece and Brown can make carreer statements tomorrow.
Our D line rotation is working and should only be better this week with buy in from alll along the line that this is a team effort.
All in all a continuation of an amazing run

We steal this at the end with a Rackers field goal.

If we have to rely on Rackers at the end I am worried. I think there is a better chance of a long bomb then Rackers hitting a game winning field goal in a huge game.

Panthers beat writer on the radio this morning (I live in Carolina) predicted the following:

High score, the Cards play well, but they ultimately only contain the running game and Steve Smith makes a couple of plays that make the difference.

I think that sounds about right, unfortunately. 34-24, Panthers. I would love to be wrong.

Wish I could remember the guy's name, though I'm not sure I actually heard it... he was complimentary towards Warner, very complimentary to the receivers, and brought up the close game from earlier in the season. He was very high on the Panthers' chances at going all the way, saying their practices have been crisp and enthusiastic all this week, and that they're very confident without being cocky.

31-28, good guys. With the exception of some stupid mistakes last game, we should have beat them at home. Couple lucky bounces go our way and we win.

I had a vision last night while sleeping...

Arizona 37
Carolina 13

Arizona had almost 400 yards of offense.
Arizona had 149 yards rushing

Carolina had 23 yards rushing and 197 yard of total offense.

Oh yeah, New York won, too...sorry.

I don't ask for my special powers, they just come to me :)

_____

My gut says this though:

Arizona 28
Carolina 29

I've been wrong every week for some time now!

I have no idea.

None.

I expect we'll lose but that's not a gut feeling this time it's just I think the sum total of my attitude towards how we show up in big games like this.

We never show up in a game like this, ever, we never have, so I'm in uncharted waters on this one.

I'm open to being pleasantly suprised though.

Isn't it great to have this global communication? We didn't have this in 1998.
Damn! I lost my train of thought. Oh yea, Go Cardinals!

Cards 23, Panthers 30. :(

To have a shot at winning, we must protect Kurt Warner, not turn the ball over, tackle, and not give up short fields or touchdowns on special teams.

Cards 27-Panthers 23

Cards score a TD with (symbolicly) 13 seconds left to play on a pass from Warner to......Jerheme Urban, whose jersey number (85) adds up to ...13.

The Panthers are:

1. rested
2. healthy
3. at home
4. undefeated at home
5. ten point favourites

Therefore, I can only conclude that the Cards win 29-21
