Aug 5 - vs Saints (HOF Game - on NFLN)

Aug. 9-13 - @ Kansas City

Aug. 16-20 - vs Oakland

Aug. 23 - @ Tennessee (on ESPN)

Aug. 29-30 - vs Broncos

Two national TV games is nice (wonder if that means we won't get more than the one regular season game - probably does)... Not sure if Peyton plays the last week of preseason -- that could be.. interesting!

Too true. As a fan you always want the 3rd preseason game at home and not the 4th.

It will be funny though. There'll be several days of Manning Mania by the Valley Media and then Peyton'll be in street clothes on the sidelines.

Hey wait! Maybe Denver will sign Matt Leinart as a backup and the Leenart will be the starter in pre season game 4.

Dammit....they play 3/4 of the AFC West and the one team they don't play is the Chargers.

Selfishly, I was hoping they'd play in San Diego so I could make a day trip down there and see a game.

I just can't get excited about pre-season football. The HOF game is a little over an hour north from me and I have no interest in going. It just like that I don't get how 75,000+ pay money to go see OSU's spring game. I've never had an interest in that either. Yet, some plan their whole weekend around it. It's a practice. I'd much rather go to a real practice like in Flagstaff and it doesn't cost a game ticket.

I can. But not about who we play; more about how we play and who plays well/not so well.

There figure to be a whole lot of 2nd-echelon position battles and fights for survival. That's what gets me stoked.

To a point I can see that. But how many times do we see a RB or QB look great and they really never see any PT come the regular season, nor should they. Sometimes they are cut outright at the end of camp.

cheese, brother-who-shall-not-post, and i are contemplating taking our pops to the HOF game for his 70th birthday. thought it would be neat for his boys to take him to the game (which is a cards game) and see the inductions and actually go to the HOF, which he's always talked about doing.

anyone ever attended the weekend? any thoughts/recommendations?

True, but there are usually at least a half-dozen questions to be cleared up during preseason, and those games present one useful platform for helping to resolve them.

Saints Debacle

In typical Cards luck/fashion their timing coincides with another team's storyline. 90% of the HOF broadcast is how the Saints are going to deal with recent events.

Sad but true. As far as the main stream media is concerned the Hall of Fame game will be the Saints vs Nobody. No wait. I take that back. It will be the New Orleans Saints vs Larry Fitzgerald.
