Supply and demand will kick in at some point. It'll be weird seeing the stadium less full.
Supply and demand is why they're raising prices. Trust me, they won't price it so that they don't sell out, but they'll maximize thier profits. IMO, nothing wrong with that.

How is my comment political? I mentioned no names and no political parties. Incumbents include both parties. Inflation is caused by too much paper money chasing too few goods. That is not politics. That is economics.

Just seemed out of place, not attacking you.

By the way, were you aware that single game tickets were already higher than season ticket prices?
I guess I wasn't. I have had STs forever and was not aware the single game tickets were higher. The $25 season tickets that sell for $50 for single games just jumped out at me.

The most interesting aspect of the ticket price changes is this:

both the $25 and $40 season ticket will have a face value of $50.

What they're doing is trying to get rid of scalpers who purchased the $10 seats. How? If an upper corner seat is sold for $50, someone holding an upper endzone ticket will have a harder time selling that $50 face value ticket for $50. Why? People will look at the area's and see that they can get a better seat for the same price.

That seems like a pretty substantial increase. The ones(mine) that went from 15.00 to 25.00 is a 66% increase.

If they do it at that rate for a few years I will most certainly be priced out. The good thing IMO is that most of the people in those 15.00 seats will not pay that much of an increase.
Those prices are still amazing. Skin's and Raven's tickets are ungodly priced.

My tickets have gone from 75 to 82.50 and now to 92.50. An extra $200 bucks this year. I don't mind the regular season, but it'd nice if they could sell the preseason cheaper. IIRC, no one in the NFL can do that.

Boneheaded move. Last year they had single game tix to all games but the Steelers. I'm guessing we will see the end of the waiting lists this year as the return of blackouts. Seems real silly. And those big fields of empty seats seem like they start reproducing in no time.

My two handicap end zone seats now cost $960 in total. The seats are good and the price is fair.

My willingness and ability to pay are both in doubt. I'm going to call and see if there are cheaper handicap seats in the upper deck. If not, I may put the 20% down and delay the final decision until the last moment.

We'll see. Have not missed a game since 1992, the year I quit sharing tickets and bought my own.

To quote the movie Fever Pitch, "You love the Boston Red Sox, but have they ever loved you back?" I haven't missed a game since 1998 and I'm on the fence. During the last 10 years I have gotten married, had a couple kids, started my career, and I'm not sure that I can justify the expense anymore. My bill is $895 which may not be a lot for some, but it is a lot to me, and it becomes bigger when my wife keeps asking me to take the family to Disneyland and I use our budget as a reason not to go. An $895 bill, when it includes two god awful preseason games and unfortunatley two horrible end of season games when the team isn't in the playoff picture is becoming an annoyance. I will admit I've never owned the premier seats. I was a south end zoner at SDS. I'll probably renew, but I'm not sure at what cost. You reallyhave to ask at some point if it is worth it.

I don't mind paying the money. It's great to be there. Electric Atmosphere. What I have a real problem with is paying full price on pre-season tickets. That plainly sucks. The NFL needs to address that.

They won't. Paying a full-price ticket for a pre-season game is a "tax" that all NFL ticket holders pay. It sucks, but it isn't going to go away. For Cards fans, this was even worse in SDS days where season ticket holders had to pay full price to sit in the stands in 105 degree temperatures for meaningless games in August.

The NFL is by far the best managed sports league in the country. The two big problems they have are stupid, outlandish, unproven rookie contracts, and pre-season ticket prices.

Other than that, it is still pretty good entertainment overall.

Well, this kinda sucks. I'm barely able to afford my tickets as it is.

That said, I'll still suck it up and buy 'em. Can't miss game day.

I don't get upset about preseason game prices. I figure it's really not being charged.

I sit in Section 111. Last year, our tickets were $82.50 per game on the season ticket. Single game tickets were $102.50. If I had been allowed to buy 8 single game tickets, that would have been $820. For another $5, they threw in two preseason games and guaranteed the seats for future games.

That doesn't bother me. Raising prices at more than 10 times the inflation rate does.

Can you pass the Kool Aid over my way? It is easy to charge a premium on the single game seat when there are little to none available. They held back less than 3k per game last year. The season ticket discount is a ficticious number thrown at you to give you a percieved benefit. If the stadium was half full, do you really think the single game price vs. season would be $20? Thinking they just "threw in" the preseason is truly kool aid driven. That said, after consulting the rest of the clan, we are renewing again but at this rate I will be priced out soon enough.

Okey dokey. At Sun Devil Stadium, my seats were $61.20 per game (I was off in a previous quote) which is 90% of the single game price of $68 per game. For season tickets, we paid the equivalent of full price for the eight regular season games and half price for the preseason games.

I've always considered the season ticket discount as being the consideration we were given for forcing us to buy preseason tickets.

And yes, I'll be paying their extortion as well, but I won't like it, and if they jump to $105 next year, I'll probably reach my breaking point.
