Hey, if his knee hurts once the season starts, I have ZERO problem with him going on IR. I just don't understand why so many fans seem willing to write him off in the Spring.

lol no kidding. We've got almost 4 more months for him to rehab. That's a lot of time for stuff to happen. Which is a double-edged sword, but so far everything seems to be going great. I think if he stays the path he's on. He'll be back early in the season if not week 1

you're kidding right? I dunno how many of us may have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but even amateur doctors have more insight into the situation than we do. Though I'd be willing to wager the organization isn't gambling with their young stud FS who they have every intention of having as an integral piece of this defense for years to come

Hey man degrees are like VDs, everybody has one, plus I watched Doogie Houser, Mash, The Cosby Show, and... well no General Hospital, but I've watched enough TV to know some pretty darn interesting things. And I know enough to ask someone who knows if they concur when I don't know so you just let that sink in pal. Don't get me started on Google, I'll have you diagnosed and fixed before you can even tell me all your symptoms or past history. I know knees, RG 3s, ACLs, sex sells, and team doctors don't care about Honeybadgers. My recommendation is that he sits out until he can do the stall, lift, toe poke, and then stall again with a sand filled hackeysack. That could take well over a year to learn, but luckily, we have medical marijuana, which could knock it down to a 2 hour rehab, but he can't puff the lala in the NFL.

Your articles were published in 2010, 2006, and 2005. Very old studies that don't come close to today's advances in research and surgical approaches.

And your 2010 research, which comes the closest to today's technology, uses subjects from the general population, not pro athletes who are inherently much more fit, recover from injury faster, and have the best technology, doctors, and PTs at their disposal.

Hey Doc, please update us on "today's advances on research and surgical approaches."

Haha, I forgot what this thread was even about....

Good to see you took a look at the references. To gain access to the most recent journal articles requires a paid subscription. As I mentioned, most college libraries have access to the most recent studies. Even small local libraries often are tied into network that will gain you access to the newer publications.

Yes. The comment sounds as if TJ has knowledge that has not yet been shared. I'm curious to what advances and surgical approaches he/she knows about.

For my part, it is time to put this thread to rest. Here's my last comment on the issue: I stick by my original statement that HB needs to be shut down for the year. That is based on the severity of the injury, when it happened (Dec), the recovery averages about a year. HB is a superior athlete---but when he gets back on the field he will going up against the same superior athlete. He needs to be as close to 100% as possible, not just good enough to get on the field. He goes all out when he plays and mixes it up with the much bigger players. That knee has to be right for him be the HB that we cheered for and not just another DB limping to the cut list. Medical clearance needs to be confirmed by independent and impartial doctor(s) and not those who are paid by the team to get the players back on the field. We sat Cooper with a broken leg, sit HB because his injury is as severe (maybe more so). Cards medical/coaches/mgmt. made the right call on Cooper's behalf---do the same for HB.

If HB gets out on the field this season and performs the way we saw last year, I'll be the first to reopen this thread and state that I was incorrect and that there is a big 'S' on his chest. If he gets on the field at anytime this year and reinjures that same knee, I'll leave it to those who want the team doctors to make the call to explain why his career was thrown away.

I'm sorry man but let me get all this straight, because my little hippie head is swarming. :D

So your not a doctor, but you enjoy trying to sound like one. Your links were like 10 years old, or not even from the athlete's world, but you give info on how to get current information...why not just post hot links to the current information if your smarter than the team doctors you don't trust? And all these dramatic career ending scenarios you love to bring up... who has more invested in Honey, us or the Cardinals? He'll be ready when he's ready, a whole season could be the case but that's highly unlikely, and that's because he will be ready when he's ready, not because of some timeline someone on line gave him, pointing his finger already with the escape plan of still hoping for the best. Your stances confuse me because they move around like dances. It is funny though.

OMG why are they letting him run? IR IR IR

funny...but he didn't tear his LCL also.

mock the people who want to be conservative all you want guys, but at least mock the right injury. An ACL tear is a different beast then a dual ACL/LCL.

Regarding Cromartie's hip... love reading that. He has a good attitude about it too. Along with everything else. I was very happy reading this article

Good stuff, and it meshes with the earlier info that his hip was feeling much better early this year.

Also it almost sounded like he was taking a friendly shot at PP/Sherman with the 'best corner' remark.
