This is a VERY underrated signing! Cantrell is versatile, having played WR for KK at Tech. Possesses great hands, strong vert, and superb short area quickness. Also is a tenacious blocker with adequate speed (4.59) for the weight he’s added (up to 240), thus the TE/HB position change. This guy will be a Y along with Larry working the slot and seams. Given his knowledge of the offense, athleticism, and ST value, I believe he’s a lock for the roster replacing Charles Clay.

It will be interesting to see if he can fit in. We could use someone like him.

Without knowing the player what I like the most is we Are bringing in receiving TEs. Tells me we will use TE in the passing game not just 4 wide

He don't get a ton of separation but can catch anything thrown his way.

He is a demon on out routes; almost impossible to guard. Had something like a 6.56 3-cone at the combine.

Can you tell more, Southpaw? I wouldn’t call it an important signing, but still, the tight end-position is not exactly a strength, and Kingsbury obviously know Cantrell better than most. Can you see him become a contributor?

The size of NFL tight end is Average Height: 76.54 and Average Weight: 254.26 lbs.

Cantrell is Height: 6’3” and Weight: 240 lbs so he is a little smaller but probably close enough.

Dylan Cantrell made Patrick Mahomes look good.

Some guys slip through the draft cracks. He is likely one of them. He can be a matchup nightmare. He definitely was at T T. He has played the K K offense since his High School days.

Seems as if K K didn't believe 247 ranking when he signed Dylan to a scholly. Hell Mahomes was recruited by most schools as a DB.
