True and there is every reason to believe that he will get better from week to week. I don't think Froholdt's been as bad as some people say in the first two games and he is definitely not the reason why we seem to be struggling with consistency during the games.

Now granted, there was very little in the realm of execution offensively today. Joshua Dobbs was once again inefficient, completing just 19 of his 33 passes for only 146 yards. The offensive line did him no favors. Dobbs was hit eight times, losing 28 yards on four sacks, including a play deep in Seattle territory where C Hjalte Froholdt sent the ball over Dobbs' head for a huge loss.

The guy makes one bad snap and you feel like what? That it proves something?
Get back to us if there is another next week will ya?

When I showed that he led the league in penalties y'all said he was the best Center we've ever had

Now he's hiking the ball clear over Dobbs' head - so does that make him a probowler?

Most people's opinion of a player aren't dramatically impacted by a single bad play. It's just not a smart way of thinking.

I don't disagree with Stout's assessment of yesterday's game but I think it's fair to say that he was a good signing and has played MUCH better than I was told (this board) that he would. And we'll know if the team agrees come the next offseason. Also, think he'll be a better center if we get a better LG.

Below average - getting worse each week - leads the damn league in penalties - but can't do any wrong in some people's eyes because then they'd be wrong - lol and yall do know Kyler is a lot shorter than Dobbs, right??

Bird Gang, you might be correct and we'll know what the team thinks come next offseason. Hate to tell you, but you and I don't count.

Because people disagree, doesn't mean that it's wrong. It a matter of opinion.
Froholdt is at starter level in the NFL IMO. Not pro-bowler. Not horrible. Still the 2nd highest ranked OL on the team per PFF.

In the grand scheme of things, how good is the second-highest-graded OL on a 1-6 team?

I like to think of it like this:

(1) where would he rank as the starter on a playoff team?
(2) where does he rank among the other starters at his position?

It is hard to evaluate OL play as a layman and from the outside. Extremely hard. That said, I think Froholdt could be the 5th best OL on a playoff team, and he's among the bottom third of starters at his position.

There are places we're much, much worse. Center is alongside TE for me a position that's difficult to scout and get value from with a high pick. There are other problems to focus on.

For example, the absolute zeroes who have been playing to Froholdt's immediate left.

Somebody mentioned PFF - which just updated

Good news is FroGOAT is no longer tied for leading the league in penalties

Bad news is he is now the sole leader for leading the league in penalties

His ranking also dropped (again)

Look, I'm tired of talking about the guy too - but you're killing me with all this "best we've ever had" nonsense - if you want to make excuses for the guy fine but at least admit he sucks - or is a work in progress - or something - but don't poop on my umbrella and tell me it's chocolate milk

I think this is an important point to consider when discussing Frodo.

If you triage our roster problems, C is way down the list just by virtue of it not being a dumpster fire.

The Cardinals have a limited amount of cap space and draft picks and we should spend those on about 12 different positions before we think about trying to upgrade C.

He is not my focus as to what went wrong after a game. The bad snap being the exception but this isn’t habitual. He has been fine in my opinion.
