Dockett penalty in the 1QTR cost us the victory. We gave this one away with penalties. Redskins can pack it in, they aren't going anywhere this year. They only moved the ball on one series all game. No one expected us to be close in this game, but we played hard to the final whistle. Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda, at least we still have a chance to be in 1st still after this loss. Go Rams!

actually the play call worked well, Fitz was wide open in the back of the end zone Q through the ball short to the defender

The ball had to have slipped out of his hand. That is why you let your QB's handle an important play like that.

:barf: So damn close....

To quote a friend of mine watching the game with me "Just play f**king better and you wont have to worry about kicking a 50+ yard FG, f**king play better"

I can't disagree with him, they sure played their asses off in the second half, but the first half did us in.

Well look at it this way. Your second TD came after 2 penalties on 3rd down that gave you first downs. But seriously , AZ surprised me and really looked great out there.

man...the cards do it to me again.

my hopes get built up..then...crushed. oh well. loved how they kept fighting to come back.

rackers had a nice onside kick...had the leg on that FG, but just missed left. can't blame him on that...a 55 yarder is never a gimmie.

was the snap and hold bad on the missed PAT and that's why it was blocked?

The way things were going I though for sure the kick would be good...for a second I thought it was...man this hurts...Gutsy performance by the Cards..but just too many mistakes, penalties, and turnovers.

the snap and hold was not clean on that extra point. i think rackers had to hesitate just a tad and it went low because of that.

Tough way to go into the bye week. This loss either puts them into a spiral downward for the rest of the year or imboldins them to find a way to win the close ones. Coaching, play calling, and penalties cost this game for the team. Defense was stellar and the offense came around. Played good enough to win if the coaches could get the plays in on time. To many penalties that make a difference. Still haven't turned a corner.

There will be no shortage of things to second-guess about this game. If we win in Tampa, all will be forgiven, I guess. I thought a split of the Tampa-Washington games would put us where we need to be.

We HAVE to get on top of this penalty thing. We just aren't good enough to overcome double-digit flags against us.

At this point I think it is serious stretch to think we could beat Tampa on the road. Need to look at how they have been playing. Coaches have to get the players to play more diciplened than they have been. Spot on with saying not good enough to overcome double digit flags....we lead the league in penalties per game.....I do not think we did that on DG...but they were just as undisciplened then.

I couldn't disagree more. Kurt Warner cost them the game. Think about it. At the 10 min mark we were down 8 and Wash had the ball. We forced 3, 3 & outs and on each of our possession thereafter we were inside their 10 yardline. Warner had 2 delay of game penalties and fumbled. Add that with the INT which were the only way the 'skins moved the ball all day and tell me how the game plan or coaches cost the game? If Warner doesn't fumble, even after the delay penalty the 3 pts would have been crucial. As for using Rattay & Boldin, why not try and shake things up? We needed a miracle and Whiz was trying to get 1.

Levi Brown should not have been out on an island by himself on the play where Warner fumbled. That was coaching, or a bad line call by the center. Brown should've had help to the outside. Instead, Carter gets a totally free run and shot at Warner.

Anyone critisizing Kurt to day is an idiot. The coaches didn't get the plays in on time, that is why we had those delay of games...the COACHES plane out SUCKED today....there play calling was terrible. Warner gutted it out and put us in a position to win. The offensive line held up there end of the bargain as well....the Offensive coaches didn't. Warner showed what a pro looks like on the road in the NFL. He gave this team a chance to win.

That's how I saw it. I particularly didn't like the Boldin qb play at the end.

Well if you think the play calling is what cost them this game and you're wondering who's an idiot look in the mirror.

Agree. Coaches dropped the ball, IMO. Warner was the biggest reason we were in there at the end. I say that knowing he three two ints.

And if I'm not mistaken, that's "plain out SUCKED". A "plane" is the big shinny thing with wings on it.
