Ok fess up. Everyone who knew that Korrodi was going to throw an INT on his first pass raise your hand.

Im not surprised that he didnt do to well in his first outing. He struggled in his first game in varisity and when he played against the upper echelon teams in the state. However, he did regain his composure and played quite well. Give him a lil more time before we pass judgement on him. I know I will.
In addition, I dont think anyone should determine his effectiveness since he only played about 2 mins and they were down by almost 2 touchdowns. If someone out there saw the game can they tell what type of route was the interception made on Korrodi. I remember him being quite effective on timing routes. And I read off NFL.com play by play that he was in a shotgun postition when taking snaps, I think that is a great idea. He took most of his snaps that way in HS. Most of his passes were quick passes, where he didnt hold the ball more than 3 to 5 seconds.

This isn't high school. His int was an out route that that the corner just sat on. He does have a canon for an arm though

I never thought I'd agree with a Sperms----er Spurs fan.;)

Give the kid a chance. Did you notice the last play of the game where he went running to his left and while running tossed the ball into the end zone? The play before that, he threw one into the end zone and if our two receivers hadn't fought over it, one of them would have brought it in for a TD.

The funny thing about it was that I sat through the whole game waiting to see him play (even though my wife wanted to leave) and on his first play from scrimmage, he throws an int. My wife looks at me and says, "This is what we were waiting for?"

Korrodi might just be worse than Boyd. They both suck, we should just go without a third QB and keep Spurlock on the team as the last WR and emergency QB.

Odds are we're going in to the season with 2 QBs on roster and Korrodi going to the practice squad. He has a cannon for an arm and will most likely be our #2 when Kurt retires. He has the arm, accuracy and poise you want from a QB, it's just a matter of if he can learn to read defenses and think at NFL speed. I think, barring injury to Boyd, we won't see much more of Korrodi this preseason so they can sneak him on to the practice squad.

Boyd would benefit from a position change. I don't see him ever developing in to a good enough passer to stay in the league. Some things just can't be taught.

After watching him for 2 games, I am going to have to swallow my pride and admit (shudder) that K9 was right about him. He's practically a Vick clone. All the talent in the world, but his mistakes will sink you.

Come on, you guys have been Cardinal fans long enough to know that was going to happen. It's not a knock on Korrodi as it would have happened no matter who they put in at QB to replace Boyd.

When I saw the formation I thought, well at least they're in the shotgun so he probably won't fumble the snap.

You gotta love Cardinal football.

:D

What's the deal with Schmitt kicking???? 50 yarder for KO, now a 39 yarder for punt!

That line drive kickoff that the Texan defensive lineman "caught" then nailed his own guy in the back as he returned it was outstanding. I laughed so hard. Preseason football FTW! LOL.

I only got to see the last two plays of the game, I walked into a sports bar(not knowing they were showing the game) and noticed they were shof\wing the Cards game on tv. I happened to recognize it was the cards on offense and they QB looked similar to Korrodi. I got a better view of the screen and was amazed to see him in the game. Ive first saw this guy play about 9 years ago and knew he was special and now I see him playing in the NFL.
His arm strength is incredible and his mobility didnt look to bad.

BTW I forgot to mention, hindsght is always 20-20.

And how does hindsight fit in here? I knew that Korrodi was going to turn the ball over as soon as I saw him in the game.

It didn't matter who it was at QB Korrodi,Greison,Pearson,Navarre... It was the situation.

That's just Cardinal football. I've seen it over and over for 40 years. Its one of the things that makes them so much fun to watch.
