Hey, I heard they would be practicing at a small college somewhere. Also, that CardsfanMD is going to watch the practices in a hot tub with Fez.

I didn't see this posted, but I thought it was interesting. It shows the culture is changing under Whiz and Co. It gives us a much better chance of beating the Jets, IMO.

From Urban's blog:

It’s long been a possibility, but the Cardinals will indeed stay back East in the week between the road trip to play the Redskins and the game in New Jersey against the Jets. Avoiding the long plane trips back and forth – and keeping body clocks on the proper time – will hopefully impact the Cards positively on the field.
I told the board the details of this, including where they will practice before training camp ended...

Guess no one was listening (reading). :(

Also for trivia sake, the mascot for Catholic University in D.C - The Cardinals!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so pumped. I am not only gonna get to see two Cardinal W's in person (Wash and NYJ), but I will also get to see them practice for the first time. I am going every day all day. I hope I can get some autographs.
Yeah but do you have the balls to get a Rackers autograph?
:)

I think this is good news Cal had this situation this weekend and for the life of me I think they blew it.

They arrived late for the game in Maryland they said they had their players getting up earlier and sleeping earlier during the week to prepare them for the 9am start time on Saturday.

But that doesn't work because your brain reacts to light levels, if you get up at 4:30 and it's pitch dark your brain reacts differently than if you wake up at 7:30 in Maryland and it's light out.

Cal's coaches had the players get up at 4:45 AM during the week and I'm convinced all they did was have a tired team on Saturday.

Jet lag is not just the hours and I think the cards are doing this the right way.

I'll say right up front that Whis and the Cardinals are doing the right thing by staying out east in the intervening week.

We also catch something of a break in that the Jets play the Monday nighter next week against what figures to be a very, very angry Chargers team. Not only do the Jets have to play a tough Monday night game against a very physical San Diego team, but then they have to climb on a plane and fly back across the country with 1-2 less days to prepare for the Cardinals. It's all good, and we finally have the coaching staff and team to take advantage of the situation IMO.

I believe Catholic University is either Michael Bidwill's Alma Mater or where he went to law school. Not sure which but I'm certain it's one of them.

Very good move by the Cards.

Very good move by the Cards.

It's also a move that costs some money. Yet again, at the game yesterday, I got into it a bit with two guys behind me because they said Bidwill was "too cheap" to pay Boldin. Yes, that was true once upon a time. But, jeez, it's quite a ways back now and moves like this prove it.

Bidwill earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from St. Louis University in 1987 and in 1990 earned a law degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

I agree with you, but I am not sure that staying here will cost that much more than flying back to AZ and then back here during the week.

Yeah, according to my sources, the Cards will be doing two sleep overs the week of the Jets game:

Wednesday September 24: @ Jersey Girl's

Thursday September 25: @ Jeff Golin's

Plenty o' popcorn...malomars...and light refreshments!

Was wondering that and where will they watch film

NFL films is located in Mt. Laurel, NJ. There's TONS of film there. ;)

I'm going to have to disagree. They will be practicing at a small college field.

Still, the university can choose whether or not to allow people on campus, especially if they are not a public institution, which I assume this one is not.

That would be SUPER ... if I didn't now live in Scottsdale. :)

I don't think it will cost a LOT more. But, they are going to have to put these guys up for a full week somewhere and buy them breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don't think it's a break even situation for the club on expenses.
