Take this for what it's worth but someone(a Browns Fan) reported this on another board...http://www.nfl-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13274

Arizona moving up to #3 spot?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd love to post an article to this but I can't find one.. just saw it a bit ago on ESPN News though..

They're reporting that Arizona contacted Cleveland and is seriously considering moving up to the #3 spot. In exchange we would take their first round pick (#8 overall) and they'd send us Tackle L.J. Shelton. Reportedly Dennis Green wants one of the Auburn running backs.

Let's hope Savage can make this trade happen.. I'm all for it!

--------------------------------

Just a rumor but did anyone else see this on Espn News?

No. If Denny is targeting someone at 3 it is not Brown or Williams. QB Perhaps, even though this trade will not happen. It would cost a lot more then #1 and Shelton. Try #1, next years #1, second and third this year.

Sounds unlikely. The draft trade chart I have says the difference between 3 and 8 is 1000 points. That's = to the 16th pick in the first round so in essence Cleveland would be saying that Shelton is = mid first rounder when we can't even confirm anybody else thinks he's worth a 3rd rounder.

Maybe the Texans are ghost-GMing for the Browns. LJ Shelton for a first rounder? Sounds about right. ;)

The Bidwills do not apparently want to spend their CAP money so it will be a cold day in h---- when they trade up to spend an extra 5 mil or so. No way jose.

If Green can pull off that trade, that's great!

I doubt even the Browns are silly enough to pull the trigger on that one, though.

Why is it great? almost everybody agrees you can get as good of a player at 8 as you can at three. I would rather use that money to get someone like Surtain..and use Shelton to get Henry..players that actually have shown they can play..

It's great because if green wants to move up to three it's to grab a player that won't be there at 8. Cadillac, Brown and Benson may all be ranked closely, but if Green (who seems to have a decent eye for talent) wants one of them in particular, I hope he does everything in his power to get that guy and not just take what's left over.

I can almost promise you at least one of those guys will bust out. If green thinks he knows which one won't, that's "great" and he should get that guy.

In fact, I'll bet in the first 8 picks of this year's draft, at least 3 of them don't amount to anything in the NFL. So, while "on paper" we might be able to get an equal player, we all know the game isn't played "on paper."
