Excellent. Why aren't there more informative and thoughtful discussions like this regarding the Cards. Wonderful job guys. Hated for it to end.

Not sure its the same one, but Video works well, you just have to wait a bit for it to begin.

I think they thought the same, the video is no longer available K9 :D

Most of the video worked but froze during the final 1 or 2 minutes.

I was glad that Pasch mentioned Hoyer (who tends to be the forgotten QB when the conversation turns to the guys we have). Especially intrigued by the inside info from Dave that Keim and (was it?) Graves had wanted to bring him in earlier. From the standpoint of raw material that can be molded by Arians and Moore, Hoyer interests me the most. (I think he reads the defense and processes info the best of the four)..

nope, it had text which appeared on the screen the first I attempted viewing it and said that the video was no longer available, but now it's up again. I agree, it is nice that someone actually mentioned Hoyer because I would take him over Skelton or Lindley. As SBFloyd said, I too wish they would do more of this and it is great to see those guys talking about the team in a more candid method.

I didn't think there was an intentional attempt to throw Wiz under the bus other than the typical "the new guy she good/the old guy he bad" comparison that tends to be drawn whenever there's a coaching change (i.e. it's difficult to praise BA for his strong points without indirectly implying that Wiz sucked in those areas).

Cardinal Underground is my favorite part of the official Cardinal site and my eyes and ears perk up for any tidbit of info or insight that might be gleaned there.

But I did think Pasch, Wolf, DU and Calvisi were a bit short on details. (After all, we are talking about a new regime with new ways of doing things and the promise of new things to happen). But put yourself in their position - all four work directly or indirectly for the Cardinals. There's a new management team (& possible hierarchical nuances) to adapt to. Can't blame them for being a bit closer-to-the-vest than usual until they get a better lay of the land.

My problem is that they didn't discuss Whis at all. Like it's four weeks after the end of the season, so let's not discuss what just happened at all. "Remember how our defense was awesome?" I'm not sure that they mentioned Whisenhunt by name at all.

The four guys (and it's difficult for me to say who's more annoying between Calvisi and Wofley--I'm going to give the nod to Calvisi for being openly distracting and not really understanding how he's going to use the whiteboard) are in an impossible position. Clearly they weren't supposed to talk about the prior season, but there's nothing to say about the new staff besides that they're there.

The roster is in flux, but there's no discussion of pending free agents, because they're still under review by the current staff.

The one positive takeaway that I got was apparently everyone's decided that Kevin Kolb isn't very good, and probably shouldn't be here.

Your first round QB selection blows up in your face, which in itself can set a franchise back several years, and you compound that problem by giving a mediocre at best guy a contract that gives you cap problems.

Maybe Chopper should do the show. He summed up the previous coaching staff's mistakes, bad breaks, etc. fairly well.

Can Calvisi get bounced with all the changes? Please? Pretty please? Cherry and stuff?

I liked it, true it was a little content lite :)
but I agreed with them when they said the old regime would try to force fit players into a system rather than build around the players skill set

What gets me is the intro:

"Inside info, brought to you by the insiders, from the inside of team headquarters!"

I get the impression that this is really deep inside! LOL

I didn't get the impression they thought Kolb wasn't very good. As a matter of fact I thought most if not all of CU thought he was good enough for the team to win. It is Kolb's durability that they question...

I dunno. If you listen back two months ago, the commentary was that Kolb was playing, "really, really well," and then he got injured. I didn't get the idea that the party line is still that Kolb was playing good football, and then got hurt.

I think the party line now is that Kolb is an adequate football player who gets injured all the time, and it's an acceptable loss if he doesn't take a pay cut.

They did a good job of walking the tightrope of trying to say something meaningful, and not pissing off the boss. None of those guys wants Mike B. in their office the next day saying "WTF dude? Why do I pay you again?"
