The only way this game could be any worse is if Berman and Lou Holtz were the special commentatry team.

The 1978 game at Shea Stadium was the only Cards game I ever went to untill they moved here in 1988

The NFL worst offense against the NFL's most dysfunctional team. If the Cards can't beat the Jets, then there really are some huge problems that need to get fixed the day the season ends.

They beat the Jets 37-6 in my first Cardinals game ever watched. Complete domination by the offense. I still remember Terry Metcalf bolting up the middle for a 40 something yard TD>

Have the Cards ever beat the Jets?
Ever?

I just looked it up, it was also the last win too, Jets have won the last 5. The last time the Cardinals beat the Jets, Joe Namath was QB, and John Riggins was their RB. Yes, it's been a loooong time.

It's the Arizona Cardinals, the official NFL springboard for players that have yet to shine. In Cardinal fashion, I see Sanchez getting the boot and Tebow coming in and owning us. Then the countless "Get Tebow" threads can pop up again. He will run for 200 yards, pass for 200 yards, pray-bow 200 times, and Skip Bailess will run with it all week.

I'm just spitballing the worst that can happen thing. :p

we just lost to a team that a) just got killed by the Jets at home and b) that hadn't won in five games, with their last win coming against... you guessed it... your arizona cardinals!

if Kolb starts, maybe we have a shot... not likely tho. If Lindley starts, it's ugly unless the D has another super-human performance like they did against Atlanta. I just don't know how long they can keep their heads up.

Against Sanchebow, this "near-elite" defense should be able to pitch a shutout with me at QB.

Agreed. And our defense has quietly become very average in the PPG category.

This game is going to be a train wreck. Just as long as our WR's aren't running 20 yard crossing routes in garbage time.

I will probably be starting the Jets defense in my fantasy league if Lindley is starting.

I was at that game and snuck into the Cards locker room before the game. Coryell started giving me the skunk eye as he was calling the team together and my friend and I ran out.

Oh to have that offense back.

I went to the 2008 debacle. It was the first time I ever left a game early. 34-0 at halftime, Cards make a brief run and cut the lead to 34-21 but thy allow Farve to throw 3 more TD passes in the 4th. I left after the first TD in the 4th when the Jets stretched the lead to 41-21. Defense couldn't stop a cab. So, I wasn't there when Boldin got hurt. I was on the turnpike heading south. That said, that wasn't the worst loss to the Jets. I believe it was 1996 when we were the Jets' only win.

This is the only other game this year that I see us having a chance of winning. The Rams game was the best chance and we see how that turned out. If Kolb or Skelton plays we have a chance. If Lindley plays we have no chance.

I will be at the game, as well! I actually think it'll be my first Cardinals game since the 1996 loss to the ... yep, Jets.

What made this loss suck was Q's injury late in the game and not being able to sleep for fear his career was over.

Still upset about the ejection of Seth Joyner in that 1996 game. Had the Jets pinned deep when Adrian Murrell stomped on Joyner's stomach after a running play. Then Seth got up to go after him and was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. Reports later said he threw his helmet and was ejected, but those that were there know that he slammed his helmet down like Thor slamming down Mjolnir and it bounced up higher than you'd think possible.

That whole episode cost us one of our best defenders and 30 yards in field position. We were never "in the game" after that. Completely changed the momentum our defense had going at the time it happened.

Was that against Rich Kotite and the mighty 1-15 to be Jets?

If the Cards can embarass Rex Ryan, the season will be a success.
