This is the best chance at a road win we have. I don't know who will get boo'ed more, the Cardinals or the Browns?

Who ever wins the turnover battle wins the game.

That's a cop out though because that's about an 80% stat already anyway.

I predict a huge win by the Cards! They are due, and Shipp is going to be playing against the worst rushing D he has played against. I see Blake stretching the field this week with Johnson and hitting Boldin for some great YAC across the middle. This is going to be a fun game. The Cards know that they should have won last week and will be hungry for this win. This is not the same Cards team of old that just rolled over and died once the season looked ugly. All of these guys know that they have only been playing together for a few months and they ALL believe that they can be a winning team.

Cards 34

Brownies 10

And after all of that we only get 4-5 secs on ESPN!

Remember when Shipp was supposed to have a "Breakout" game versus the last-ranked run defense of the KC chiefs (last in their division, by the way)? That's kinda how I see this game going. The Browns have given up massive days to the likes of Priest Holmes (92 yds), LT (200 yds) and J-dot-Lewis (295 yds) but against merely above-average backs like Edgerrin James, Rudi Johnson, and Amos Zeroue they've been pretty stout. This is a team that the Cards are going to have to pass on, and it's pretty obvious that they're unwilling to do that.

It's pretty apparent that Mac went into this season with a strategy not dissimmilar from the one that Carolina has used: keep it close into the fourth quarter and try and steal games. The problem with that is the lack of discipline (killer penalties) and some shortfall in talent (especially from the combination of secondary and pass rush) have caused momentary breakdowns in the strategy that put opponents up by margins that cannot be overcome with our pedestrian offense.

The Cards are probably better than the Browns, talent-wise, on both sides of the ball, but I think that bad coaching again kills this team:

Cleveland Oranges (Version 2.1): 24
Arizona "Good Seats Still Available" Cardinals: 13

This team can't settle for field goals on the road.

Cards, again, catch a break with the weather. High temp in the mid-50s under cloudy skies on Lake Erie Sunday afternoon.

Browns 17
Cards 9

The cards are far more suited for a rain- or snow-game than the Browns. The Browns have to pass to win. I don't think we do.

I wish it were coming down in buckets on Sunday in Cleveland.

Cards score a T.D. on opening drive and add a F.G. to go up 10-0 in the first quarter and the troubled Browns throw in the towel. The defense gets a T.D. and Cleveland gets a late T.D., but are dominated by the Cardinals.

CARDINALS-24
Browns -10

I predict a great game.

34-10 Browns? You boys have been hangin with William Green!

The Browns do have a good chance of winning but they will not score 34 points!

It will be the usual game of turnovers, and time of possession. I think if turnovers are held to a minimum it will be close in the 4th. If we have no turnovers at all we win.

Plus the Browns run Defense is nothing to write home about.

BTW:
“It is one of those things where I’ll play as long as I can,” said Kendall. “I almost made it out of the Pittsburgh game and hopefully I’ll make it all the way through this one. I don’t expect to spelled on a regular basis. I think the plan is that I’ll play until I can’t go anymore.”

Kendall is being a trooper. I have had a few stingers in my day and THEY DO NOT GO AWAY IN A WEEK. And you only have about 90% strenth in the shoulder/neck that you hit.

LOL! Good one.

I think all the distractions will be more of a factor that the Browns think they will.

I'll echo DEEEFENSE's prediction:

24 - 10 Cardinals win!

for what its worth...

Our special teams show up this week after taking last week off. We win the time of possesion and field position battles.
We struggle on the ground against a suprisingly resilaint Cleveland run D and are forced to the air.
Jones and Hodgins work the zones well to fill in for the run.
Our run D steps up to better Clevelands, and what looked like a slug fest turns into an air war.
Jackson is turned loose to ball hawk and comes up big with an int and return.
We avoid TOs after practicing in the rain all week and prevail

Their receivers can't do anything if they can't get the ball.

Shipp will come out smoking. He will be psyched because of the steeler game (he ran wild in the previous 2).

Since the coaching staff lacks creativity they will go back to what worked during the 2 game win streak and this will be the game to go back to it.

On the other hand, I hope the D feeds off the O effort. If they do we have our first road win since bell bottoms (OK, I know that was pretty far back) and we take this one convincingly.

Browns 10

Two early scores 10-0 followed by a defensive score - the Browns quit and we roll 31-0!

The browns have a poor run defense, but will do whatever they can to stop Shipp. After all, he's our main weapon. I know it, you know it, the Browns know it. QB Blake will have to perform better and I think he will. Special teams will have to perform better. I think they will. If the Cardinals lose this game, we can all start the "who will be the next Head Coach" thread.

This team can't settle for field goals on the road.

You're extra wrong K9.

If Marcell does not have 100+ yards rushing today, there needs to be a congressional investigation.

I love this match up for the Cardinals. This is easily their best chance to get a road win this season.

I think the Cardinals will dominate they way they did against San Fran and Cinncy, and will win in a blow out, Cardinal style:

Cardinals 24

Clowns 14

Good luck today guys. Hope you bounce back from the Steelers loss and keep the Browns in the cellar where they belong. Go Bengals. Go Cardinals.

I love how hope springs eternal every week. With the exception of a few of us, everyone blindly picks victories, and decides that the best possible things will happen.

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, I saw the 'same old Cardinals' last week, shooting themselves squarely in the foot. On the other, they didn't give up.

Well, not giving up is a positive, but it don't mean squat when you're down, what, 28-3? If something like this starts to happen again, we're finished. If not, we have a very good chance to win.

On offense, we DO need to pound Shipp. BUT, if it ain't working, our coaching staff needs to adjust (yeah...the Pope will convert to Judaism first!) and start throwing the ball to open up the run. Let's hope we can just pound the ball from the get-go.

On defense, as Skkorp said, they're going to pass, and it's going to be rough, IMO. We need to generate a pass rush, and my fear is that Mac, seeing their O-Line, will only rush 4. Do that, and we lose this game by more than 10 points. Find a way to create pressure, and we have a chance.

Bottom line? Again, we aren't prepared, and we lose.

24-13
