Of course it doesn't mean anything regarding a trade, but I just thought I would post this video anyway. It is J.J. Watt talking about something in relation to Pat Tillman.

I just dont think Houston gives him up for a 3rd or 4th round pick...which is all I would want the Cards to offer.

He is still one of the only 3/4 DE's that gets to the QB...even though he is not putting up the crazy numbers he did early in his career. If he stays healthy (big if) he is still a 10 sack guy on a 3/4 D-Line..which is still really rare. His motor is second to none.

Its clear Houston is going into a rebuild...and he is too old for that. If Watt goes to the FO and asks to be traded, maybe they can play it off as wanting to do right by him...and we could get him for a 3rd?

I think the Cards are close enough in the next 2 years for me to make that deal.

3rd rounder only and I say that because he's dying in football purgatory with the dreaded Texans. I believe a change of scenery would rejuvenate him to an extent and the opportunity to make a run with us would provide motivation. I could work with that. I love the dude.

Oaken1----You may only be 52 but your liver is 110.

A lot of those comedy sitcoms had a second and third life in reruns. I have Roku streaming and a bunch of the free channels are full of even the very early shows (I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, the HoneyMooners, and all the old Westerns that Baby Boomers used to watch on Saturday morning).

A lot are on Youtube---including Sanford and Son. Mr. Yeahbutt: That Quincy Jones theme song 'Streetbeater' that opens Sanford & Son is also a guitar lesson on Youtube

Looks like us meatheads have stolen the thread

Does JJ have game left? Would he rejuvenate himself and the team, or would he be coming here to "steal money from Arizona"? I can't believe Suggs would have said that about us all. Is JJ that guy, or something more? He was the best player in the NFL four or five years ago. Trust your physicians. Sometimes older guys have been good signings for us, like Freeney. Too bad Houston's gotten rid of O'Brien. They'll be looking to get back at us for any deal we try to enter with them at this point.

On to more important subjects:

Top comedies of the

70's All In The Family, MASH, Sanford and Son, Happy Days, the Jeffersons, the Brady Bunch, the Mary Tyler Moore show, the Carol Burnett show.

80's the Cosby Show, Cheers, Night Court, Family Ties, Taxi, Newhart, the Golden Girls, WKRP

90's Friends, Seinfeld, Fresh Prince, Home Improvement, Simpsons, Frasier, Roseanne, 3rd Rock

00's the Office, South Park, Big Bang Theory, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Everyone Loves Raymond, Malcolm in the Middle, King of Queens.

Which is your favorite era, presuming you've witnessed them?

Well, you missed the 50's (Mighty Mouse, Mickey Mouse, The HowdyDoody Show, Sky King, etc), mostly Saturday morning kids shows I watched once we got a TV in our house, my pre-teens.
Also, Maverick, Cheyenne, Have Gun Will Travel, Perry Mason and others.

I used to long for the old Tarzan movies with Johnny Wiesmuller to show. I think I have read most all of the Tarzan series books by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Enough reminiscing or I might be banned. :)

Yuma---My apology for being part of hijacking your thread in regards to trading for JJ Watt. I believe my comment 'Watt player are you talking about' triggered the free association among some of the forum members that got things off track. Old people are like that---some memory connections work, others trigger haywired responses.

So---I started a 'Conversation' with gimpy on his last post. If you want to continue discussing the old TV favorites---join the conversation. Drive over in your 1950 era Ford pickup and bring your Ripple. If not, be like Otis and let yourself in the Mayberry Jail cell for the duration.

Me too, but I admit Jane was the jewel.

Johnny looked like he was raised in the jungle. I did adapt to changes in James Bond but never Tarzan. Although not the first to play Tarzan he was for me.

Yep, Weismuller had that long hair and childlike innocence that made him look like he belonged in the jungle. Plus, he could whip a lion with Cheetah watching from a tree branch and cheering him on.

The original 'Tarzan and his Mate' was one of the more risque movies ever released. Plenty of scenes with both Jane and Tarzan showing a lot of skin. The long underwater scene with a stunt double had Jane fully naked. The public was both outraged and also flocked to the theatre to see the soft porn. The movie resulted in 'Decency Standards' that applied for many years (Rhett Butler telling Scarlet 'Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.' had that film banned in many parts of the country.)
