For those hammering about not bringing in OL--name some names.

The thing about offensive linemen who can be effective in this system is that they don't grow on trees. Kickers who can make 85% of their attempts and boot it out of the endzone on kickoffs do.

Current FAs:

Offensive Tackle
Kareem McKenzie (RT)
Chad Clifton (LT)
Tony Pashos (RT)
Tony Moll (RT/G)
James Lee (LT/RT)
Mario Henderson (RT)
George Foster (LT)
Alex Barron (RT)
Stacy Andrews (RT/G)
Brandon Keith (RT)
Stephon Heyer (RT/LT)
Allen Barbre (RT)
Mark LeVoir (RT/LT)
Kirk Chambers (LT/RT)
Anthony Davis (RT)
Lydon Murtha (RT)
Michael Toudouze (RT)
Thomas Welch (RT)
Chris Campbell (LT)

Guard
Jake Scott
Kyle Kosier
Artis Hicks (RT)
Trai Essex (RT)
Chris Kemoeatu
Montrae Holland
Quinn Ojinnaka (RT)
Vince Manuwai
Daniel Loper (C)
Anthony Herrera
Floyd Womack (RT)
Adam Goldberg (RT)
Kyle DeVan
Cory Procter (C)
Mike Gibson
Josh Beekman
Tony Wragge
Kasey Studdard
Mansfield Wrotto (RT)
Jaimie Thomas
Paul Fanaika
Jacques McClendon

One of them on that list would improve what we have, I have no doubts. Batiste is that bad. The guards are that bad.

How is Chad Clifton's back, anyway? Beat down doors, find something.

Word of reason.

Take that Donald!

Uhm, I have no issues with having Feely bounced. He's a KICKER. Dime a dozen for sure. That's a no brainer.

But posters saying "woot! accountability" are not words of reason. We are sacktastic at offensive line, both QBs have been injured and we lead the league in sacks, hits and hurries...and we have had Chris Williams come in (I didn't even think we did that much, so I stand corrected there).

Don't be surprised if Feely winds up on IR. I haven't heard anything, but it wouldn't shock me if it turns out he had been playing hurt.

Oh FFS.

Not that I disagree, but does this mean he's happy with Batiste and Massie? That he's happy with the guards as well?

Accountablity my arse. We aren't beating down doors to find OL options, but we are bringing in a kicker after Feeley misses one and has a gamewinner tipped after hitting a 61 yarder? Insanity.

Heck of a lot easier to find a passable kicker than an NFL ready O-lineman.

Here's the real reason the Cards are working out Brown:

Brown was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He began his football career after his family moved from Tulsa when he was in eighth-grade and he subsequently attended Foyil High School. Brown then became a running back, safety, punter, placekicker, kickoff returner, and punt returner. He made a 61-yard field goal in the state playoffs in 1996. He also ran for 10,891 all purpose yards and scored 51 touchdowns that season and finished his Foyil HIgh School career with 19,136 all-purpose yards and 122 scores.

:D

Did not know that Brown was once so highly rated he was given the franchise tag and then signed a contract which made him the highest paid kicker in the NFL in 2008.

yeah... last three weeks Feely's missed three pretty makeable field-goals, right? in the first half against the Rams, the game-winner against Miami and the gift at the end of the first half against Minny. Now, he has an INSANE 61 yarder in there as well, but with a team who's points are at a premium, Feely's got to make those kicks that are within 40-45 yards.
Agree... he makes the Bills one and we are 5-2. Even though it is claimed to be tipped but that was so subtle, by a finger nail, that it must already be going bad. Perhaps the complexion of Vikes game also changes with the first FG, who knows.

The two bolded names are guys I would look at. In fact, i've benn wanting them to bring James Lee in for a couple seasons. Unles he's hurt, he'd be a definite upgrade. He played well for TB when given the chance.

What's the scoop on Foster? He's serviceable still, right? That's the name on the list that I thought about.

Whiz said the player who tipped it was jumping up and down right after it and that some of the blockers said they heard the ball get hit. So I think we can conclude it was tipped. the spin on the ball is what it made it miss.

The other 2 were totally on Feely.

The miss against Minnesota hurt us, we could have kicked FG's later in the game if he'd made that one but decided to go for the TD based on score once.

The play that changed the complexion of that game was the picksix though.

How about the BS pass interference call on Gay? That pass was 20 feet over the head of the receiver even if Gay doesn't impede him. Holding maybe but a 29 yard PI penalty no way. Is there no uncatchable ball rule in the NFL?

Or how about the Defensive holding penalty on Dockett that gave the Vikings a first down when otherwise the Cards D had stopped them? Then Minnesota drives in for another TD. There's 11 points. The entire game changes if its 10-7 after the pick six instead of 21-7.

Of course once the Viks got up 21-7 Skelton started to get sacked every possession. :(

The replay showed Dockett really held as well as Peterson's PI call was valid on the same drive.

Doesn't matter whether he held or not. That penalty was just as responsible for 6 points as Skelton's throw that was returned for a TD. Just like Gay's PI penalty set up the Viks for another 7 points.

When your offense struggles to score -2 points a game you just can't make mistakes like that. :p
