I can say it because it's what happened. They had 3 of the top 10 players in the league, they lost one of them over 2 million per year and they got beans in return. There is no question that it was abominably stupid on their part.

James Harden was not a top 10 player in the league in 2012 just stop it. You continue to ignore how God awful he was in those finals

He was 6th man of the year who averaged 16.8 points a game. His last year in OKC, Stop trying to act like he was this amazing star. Hindsight is always 20/20 what he was and what he became are two different things

I find it funny that Carmelo is all of a sudden back to his superstar status, like his issues of the past several years dont matter. He's the most overrated NBA superstar in he league.

NBA radio was gushing about Carmelo and completely killing Phil Jackson. They literally said nothing bad about Melo.

He's flat out not a star anymore but who knows maybe a change in scenery will do him good.

The "haul" the Knicks received for 'melo says all you need to know about his "star" status (among gm's). The media are enamored with his history.

I like the move by Oklahoma. They turned Oladipo, Sabonis, Kanter, and McDermott into Paul George and Melo. If Paul George stays I think they'll be a dangerous team for the next couple of years. Melo makes for a good 3rd option, provided he accepts that role. There is the possibility they add Dwayne Wade who was recently bought out by Chicago also. Not sure how much, if any, of their MLE they have available to try and lure him into joining their Big 3 but a starting 5 of Westbrook, Wade, George, Melo, and Steven Adams could challenge the Warriors, especially if Westbrook shares the load and doesn't try to beat them on his own. Even without Wade they have Andre Roberson at SG who is a really good perimeter defender but doesn't give you much offense but that won't be needed with Westbrook, George, and Melo.

I don’t view it this way. They also said he was ranked liked the 64th best player in the league? Had questions about his fit and defense.

It’s more media hype to build a story of Warriors vs Rockets.

Yes BEFORE the trade. Now that he's been traded he's the second coming.

Warriors vs Rockets?
