That's because they were all crap to begin with. Warner is the only exception. He was our Tom Brady.

Matt Leinart won a National Championship in college. Threw for over 300 yards vs a Texas team that had 5 DBs that went on to start in the NFL and was considered by many knowledgeable NFL people to be the most NFL ready QB in the draft. Palmer has never had a season this bad in his 10 year career. Kolb was Offensive player of the week in Philly.

So no, they all weren't crap to begin with. They only got that way when they showed up in Arizona.

Kevin Kolb comes to Arizona and turns into total crap. The late round QBs we drafted got worse withe every pass they threw. Carson Palmer comes to Arizona and turns into total crap. Matt Leinart comes to Arizona and turns into total crap. How the hell did Warner ever escape the Cardinal QB curse?
Amazing for sure.

Yea Sherman knew the pattern better than Floyd on the 2 point try- I don't think it is all Palmer- it is the play caller and coach asking him to do the impossible- passing our selves to death.

I find it funny how so many people can crap on Palmer and essentially ignore the line. The line is possibly the worst I have ever seen. Not even Warner would be able to succeed behind this.

Not saying Palmer is great. But put him behind a halfway decent line and he's at least slightly above average.

Disagree. He's thrown dumb picks and missed open receivers even when he has all day. The line is not good, but it's even harder to accept when Wilson is completing passes as he's being sacked. We have a lemon on our hands, and a coach who's apparently too dense to understand the situation.

The past couple of games before this one the pass protection hasn't been bad and he's still sucked. :(

A coach who was supposed to be a QB guru. Looks like he's nothing but an old fool like me. Thankfully we have a handful of stars on defense or we'd be getting beat 55-12 every game.

It didn't look like he even had a chance out there tonight until Seattle went into prevent. The dude was utterly over-matched for most of the game.

Carson isn't a band aid. He's salt in the festering sore that we call our QB situation.

Carson isn't a band aid. He's salt in the open Cardinal QB wound that keeps getting deeper.

Arizona right now, the last 2-3 years, is a tough gig for a QB. Receivers who can't get separation and an offensive line that resembles Swiss Cheese. No QB can succeed in those circumstances. They just freak out and start forcing passes, ducking and running away, throwing off their back foot. Our WRs and TEs and Offensive linemen suck. And as a result so do our QBs.

Absolutely. So frustrating. Expected an improved, respectable offense this season. Got more of the same.

Matt did nothing after he left the cards and failed to impress many scouts to pick him up or give him a starting job on most teams. The Cards didn't DO THAT to him. Also, there have been many good college QB's that didn't translate to the NFL. NFL teams don't do that to those guys either.

Palmer is EXACTLY what he has always been with the Cards. He has thrown double digit interception 9 out of 11 seasons. Two of those seasons he could of reached 20 and two of them he did. His pattern in his last two stops was the same. Throwing up ducks, untimely interceptions or missing wide open guys. He just has had some good streaks. Again, the Cards didn't do that to him.

We got a guy who has been overrated, inconsistent and at the end of his career. The Cards didn't do that.

I think the ownership has mishandled tons of players since they came to Arizona but these are not legit examples of it being the Cards fault.

Totally disagree. Every one of those QBs were better before they came to Arizona than they were after. Everyone. Palmer is on pace to throw 25 interceptions and he has NEVER thrown that many in his career.

Why do the Cardinals hate the idea of drafting a QB in earlier rounds?

Trade Kolb and then trade for Palmer. Who next? Trade for Nick Foles or Vick? Or Sanchez?

Arizona Cardinals = where trading for your teams crappy quarterback happens

What we want: Pre-owned, gently used and well maintained

What we get: Lemons

We have terrible luck with QB's period. We struck gold on an old, considered washed up clunker in Warner and now that's our perceived path to success. Never willing to spend on the luxury model and always hoping to get extra miles out of the economy model. The biggest head scratcher is our drafting. Never suck bad enough for the obvious stars and never luck into hidden ones. We end up with moxie and whatnot.

Matt was NEVER better at the NFL level. He never proved himself at this level. So, that means nothing.

Palmer might be on pace for his worst ever season but he had plenty of bad seasons as I posted above. His inconstancy and bad judgement has been a staple of his career. ALL BEFORE he got here.

I have seen bad teams improve with a simple change at the QB position. Warner changed everything because he was good. Bad to average QB's usually have very little impact on their new teams and play at the level of the rest of the team.

So a crappy QB is playing crappier here! So what. It doesn't mean he wasn't crap before he got here.
