Oh. My. God. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Two years running. Not shame on YOU, Sarver, shame on ME. I can't do this ever again in my life. Can't care/debate for months to see the pick sold for cash. Can't. Can't. Can't.

We know who the real GM is. Not D'Antoni. Not Kerr. The old foam finger.

I didnt care who we got anyway in that pick range.

Maybe some cash is needed to finance some DEALS.

That does it. It's obvious that ownership has no interest in improving this team. Sarver's just been blowing smoke up our ass all summer.

I'm burnin' my Suns gear. I'm done.

This sux for any Suns fan...
you've waited awhile for the draft and you'll get nothing.

The good news is that you get to keep your team from last year, which isn't half bad.

I'd go nuts if the Cardinals did this in a draft.

They'll sell the 29th pick too.

Sarver does not deserve to own this team. I normally don't wish harm on anyone, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if something bad happend to him.

all i got to say is "figures"

i spent god knows how long trying to defend the suns this draft saying that they arent THAT stupid to trade away picks in what 4 consecutive drafts.....and they kick me in the nuts.

no more defending on that one. and i think Muggum put it perfectly. shame on me.....shame on me......shame on me.

Add insult to injury, Fernandez probably won't even play in the NBA this season, so it wouldn't cost anything to keep him. And we don't even get a pick in return. No one else sells first round picks, only the Suns.

I can already hear the excuses from the organization: we tried to move up, but no one wanted to deal with us, didn't like any of the players at 24, this trade gives us financial flexibility, etc.

Might as well sell the next pick too. No point keeping it now.

Four years without a rookie.

Completely and totally pathetic.

This reminds me of the Calvin Pace/BJ Cards move...

But this is more lame.

Are you guys for real? Whomever we would have picked would have rotted at the end of the bench anyway. Suns are looking to win a championship not fish for minnows!

I could somewhat slightly understand getting rid of marcus banks + 24, but #24 for cash is just so horribly asininely stupid that I am left in pure disgust.

It's not funny at all. There will be a press conference where Griffin or D'Antoni will say that there was no one available that would have helped them next year and that they are way over the LT. Ironically that was said about this time last year. Allow me to disagree with this and say that guys like Josh McRoberts and Gabe Pruitt would be able to help us with depth and allow us to make a trade or two to free up some cap space. Unfortunately we help POR of all teams get another piece in Fernandez to go along with their steal last year, Rodriguez and the good young core of players they have now. POR is the CHI of the west.

Well at least let us hope that this is half of a #24+#29+Marcus Banks to portland deal or at least SOMETHING productive.

so the real question is . . .

. . . . does dantoni roll out stoudemire and introduce him as our first round pick again this year???

the suns are idiots. this team hasn't gotten past the wcf and in fact took a step back this year (though admittedly scheduling of the playoffs played a role in that). we're the kj/chambers/majerle of the present. just not good enough. yeah, we're a contender, but let's face it, we're fooling ourselves if we think we don't need a little something more, and by not at least gambling with a draft pick, we are not getting that extra piece. i'm so fed up with this team and the offseason right now. what a lot of hot air.
