Reminds me of the year where our starting wide receivers were Bryant Johnson (R), Anquan Boldin (R) and Martay Jenkins. Worked out with Boldin.

Pretty good comparison, except they do not even have a young Boldin.

This is their current stable of WR's.

Bersin, Brenton
Clemons, Toney
King, Tavarres
McNutt, Marvin
Webb, R.J.
Cotchery, Jerricho

and TE's

Brockel, Richie
Jefferson, D.C. <---
McNeill, Mike
Olsen, Greg
Williams, Brandon

I am guessing Greg Olson is triple teamed all game every game. I also predict they draft a WR.

Best of luck to Cason. Good guy, questioned his commitment for non-football reasons.

And two seasons later the Cards had Fitz and Boldin and the #1 pass offense in the NFL.

The Cards won 1 more game than '03 and finished 5-11. :D

In Boldin's rookie year, the "starting WRs" looked WAY worse.

The starting WR's for Game 1 of the 2003 season were.....

:drum roll:

Larry Foster, and Bryan Gilmore.

Boldin was the 3rd receiver followed by Bryan Johnson, and Jason McAddley.

Larry Bleepin' Foster.

Played all of one game.

That year we also, at one point or another got Kevin Casper, and Nathan "The Viking Killer" Poole.

I was shocked to see this, but Jenkins wasn't even on the team that year, or any year that Boldin was on the club.

I guess I was wrong, I still thought we had Martay. Even still it was a terrible lineup, with the exception of Boldin. But we had no way of knowing what kind of gem we had there. I just remember everyone flipping out from that draft and stories of Kevin Casper running laps of the football fields during Cardinals practices until the coaches noticed him. The simple fact that that worked speaks to how terrible our personnel was.

Boldin and the Panthers. 2005. 20 yard TD. What a GAM run after catch that was.

And don't any of you negative nannies say anything about the fumble. :nono: :)

Nope! But I will be going to buy another Cason Cardinals jersey while I can..

Wish he got more playing time here.. Felt like it was a wasted signing..
