Defensive Backs!

Dee Milliner.

I hope he runs a slow 40, and the Lions just keep on being the Lions. Cause if he is there, which would be ridiculous I know, then I hope Steve Keim would be flipping over tables and diving to the podium to put in his pick.

6'1" 199lbs

Patrick Peterson: 6'1" 219lbs.

You get two players that could just stay with the club for there entire career. Both can lose a step and still be faster then most NFL players, not to mention they are both big enough to play safety later on, ala Rod Woodson, Ronnie Lott, Charles Woodson, etc., etc.

Milliner is the only player in this draft I would choose over Chance Warmack, and that includes Luke Joeckel. Which I understand is nutz, and that I am wrong, but it is my opinion.

Welcome to the detroit #lions RT @NFL_ATL: Dee Milliner 4.31 unofficial forty. Did not expect that. Wow.

Gil Brandt ‏@Gil_Brandt
Dee Milliner shows why he's considered a top-10 pick with that unofficial 4.31 in 40 at #NFLCombine. Really, really helped himself.

We ALL like to do Mock Drafts, but they really make NO SENSE until we know what a/your team does in FA. For Arizona CB would be a consideration if we lose Toler and Safety would make sense if we lose Rashard Johnson. If Toler re-signs we probably shouldn't draft a CB since we have so many more pressing needs. As for Safety, even if Johnson signs we'll still need a S, but probably not before the fourth or fifth round. JMO.

Milliner will be a Detroit Lion IMO. That is extremely fast.

This may be the year we lose some FA on D. Wouldn't shock me if some followed Horton to the Browns.

Leon McFadden mentioned the Cardinals as one of the three teams that have shown the most interest in him thus far.

He ran about 4.4.

You're hardly nuts. If there. he'd be a very good selection.

That is much faster than he seemed to play at Alabama. I am curious to see his other drills because I had him pegged as a late 4.4, early 4.5

If Philly can't come to terms with Namdi he may be gone before Detroit at 5, but either way I think it's unlikely he gets to us at 7

It will be interesting to see if they go DT or CB. They're also said to be interested in Miami's Sean Smith.

Assuming all things being equal BPA-wise - Just remember that, when you draft a guy to fill Position A, you won't have that draft pick to address a more pressing need at Position B or C.

Assuming that Toler (a) is healthy and (b) signs with us - do we feel that Millner would be a bigger upgrade over Toler than, say, Joeckel, Fisher or Jonson would be an upgrade over Levi or Potter or if Warmack or Cooper (who's been taking snaps at center) would be an upgrade over Snyder, Sendlein or Colledge)?

Yes let's draft nothing but corners and wide receivers. They can play OL and QB, right?

There's 6 weeks of Free Agency and 6 picks before the Cards exercise their first choice. We simply don't know who will be available and there will be a number of rounds where the OL can be addessed.

So you're telling me we have the cap space to pick up an OT, OG, QB, and OLB in free agency? I'm not counting on a bunch of late round picks to be our starters.

He could go #2... If you're Jacksonville who do you take? Floyd is a good DL prospect, Jordan is a freak with ok tape and they already have a top 5 LT in Eugene Monroe. The Jags said last week that Gabbert would be the #1 QB in this draft...

Probably the worst #2 situation I can remember...

I'm not telling you anything more than there is time and decisions to be made based on priorities set by the new GM and coaching, not we fans.

Well taking Milliner at #7 will probably be as bad as taking Floyd at #13 last year, regardless of what we do in FA.
