Fitz is our #2. We are in DESPERATE need of a #1, as well as a depth WR.

Agreed. My thought here was we need to get a guy that is the 2nd best WR on our team and hopefully, turn into the best when Fitz leaves. Same thing with CB. Would love to get a guy that is better than PP but most likely he will be 2nd best on the team.

Cards had Bradford go through a team physical before the contract was finalized. He passed. If Cards thought Bradford was a bad risk wouldn't the team have voided said contract?

Technically there is no contract to void as it's contingent on passing the physical.

He converted some salary to bonus money to free up 500k in this year's cap.

Yes, Fitz is still an excellent player. He's the BEST WR we have, by far, but he's not the #1 WR on the offense. If you knew what you're talking about, you'd realize this is a positional discussion, not a talent discussion. The #1 WR position is the outside role, with speed and downfield ability being key. The #2 WR position is an inside position filled by a more possession-oriented WR--the position Fitz has actually been playing for a while now.

It's not a "Fitz is great" thing; it's a "what position on the team does he actually play" thing. You're so wrong you don't even realize the basis for the discussion. Sorry, you're the one who went snarky, not me.

I know people do not want us to draft a WR in the first round but a starting lineup of Fitz in the slot, Matthews as the number two and a guy like Sutton from SMU as the number one would suffice

Trade Veldheer for Josh Gordon. :)

It's hard to get excited about Jordan Mathews...he doesn't do anything special and has zero upside.

Wouldn't it be great if Chad Williams was just a product of Arians being picky about starting rookies and really is a gem... this is why Keim needs to stop making picks as if they are a luxury when round three to four is when you get players which can play and you do not gamble till later

I want a QB bad, and now would be rather satisfied with freaking Rudolph at fifteen but my opinion does not mean Jack compared to what a professional scout can ascertain, I am sure even the Browns would make my opinion wanting. The reality is that we do not have glaring holes as far as being competitive but we do if we want to be a realistic playoff team. We still are getting the job done right if we select a true number one WR in the first round, or a dominant NT type in Vea among others. People get injured in a season, what if Peterson has to miss some games? You can never have enough corner backs and a guy like Joshua Jackson would fit

No one uses "WR1" and "WR2" outside of video games. He plays Z, the flanker.

If Ridley is there, I think he’d be a great pick.

But there are some good prospects they can be had in round 2-3 like Simmie Cobbs, Lazxard from Iowa Stdte, the kid from FSU, and Anthony Miller.

There's not many CBs in the entire league that are better than a 7-time Pro Bowler, much less in Free Agency. Can I have what you're smoking?

Agreed...that is pretty much what I said and certainly what I meant. Would love to get a guy that was better but most likely not. That is not a knock on PP at all...he is awesome like you said.

Totally agree. PP is the guy who will be the face of our Cards franchise with Fitz retires. When posters talk about trading him, I think they are crazy. I sure hope he retires as a Cardinal for life!
