Unless very lucky, you're not going to find "elite talent" at any position drafting twentieth. A guy with Hageman's physical talent could easily be the 20th pick. It's the mental apsect that's holding him back. If he were a high motor player, he'd probably be a top 5 pick.

Agree on Hageman, but I think some 'elite' talents slide. Sheldon Richardson last year seemd 'elite' to me and slid to the Jets.
The point is probably moot, as I think Clowney is the only elite DE talent in this class. Ealy would be an ok pick at that position and point of the draft, but it's not like he'd be a bargain. Different position but if Barr fell, I think he'd be a bargain at 20.

I hope we aren't interested in Hageman in the 1st. I'm ok with a DE but only if he's an elite talent that falls. Hageman doesn't have the motor to be elite in my opinion. I don't know much about OT Tardif of OLB Jones, but I'm interested.

Would be surprised if it's Hageman at #20 and wouldn't be if Mettenberger got the call in the second round.

I'd like Barr or Shazier, but wouldn't be surprised if it's Dennard or which ever Safety drops.

Keim travelled to Montreal to work out Tardif and he has visited AZ.

All of his workout numbers would have been top 5 at the Combine.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (OT) McGill U.

Google it and you'll see some tape.

Agree on the elite talent but you sure should get a solid player who will start for you for 4-5 years.

Drafted at #20 2008-2012

Aqib Talib Tampa now with NE

I hate to bring up Levi Brown but something tells me he would have been a lot better player if he was initially drafted with a coach like Arians at the helm. There is something about Arians which seems to mesh well with professional athletes and a player like Hageman might be that top 5 talent under him :)

Pretty sure that something is called accountability. Minus the Segway's.

Yea Levi

Arians interviewed the existing Cards Qb's to see who was ruined "hit out" as he said- We kept Lindley and dumped the rest- but there was many more that was ruined by Whiz- including Leinart- of course MNM under Denny could ruin a young QB in one game! But he seemed to bounce back from that to finish a fantastic rookie season.

then came the 2 QB system under rookie HC Whiz- and the injuries and the manufactured adversity to " see how he'll respond" responded with a ruined career and a healthy Cardinal flopping from SB to the turf , with a thump!!!

Yes I like Arians approach better - and there is a great chance a QB will be BPA in the first round- Lets see if Hyde is the BPA in the 2nd round. But Keim will pull the trigger with BA advising- I think Keim is a true GM with foresight and accountability. Missing on a franchise QB by letting them slide by is as bad as drafting a dud! Or signing a scud starting a Scud and cutting a better QB.

I think Keim will aim straight and true - for long term success.
