I have been there. 2+2 is also another good site. Unfortunately I have spent my bankroll right now, and I am looking at buying a new house/car so I have decided to not play in a while.

I did turn $20 into $500 online last week though.

My game is mostly HE, but I am an accomplished O8 player as well.

2+2 is good...

I'm going to be putting in a swimming pool, so right now the only poker I'm playing is some freeroll WSOP events for an off chance of getting lucky there, and being home game hero...nothing like taking your friends' money with a smile. :)

Not enough people play stud tourneys or SNG's online...it takes forever for them to fill up, or I'd play that all the time.

i've been way into backgammon lately. i never knew just how much skill was involved in it.

seriously, am i the only one? i had played a bit growing up, but then i kept hearing how all the great poker players (like my favorite, mr. hanson) were also really good at backgammon. i started playing more, and my game improved to the point where i honestly didn't know how it could be anything other than luck of the roll beyond that, but i knew there had to more to it if there were actually consistently top players all over the world. i got some books and perused some sites and it's amazing how much there is involved in it. i find it really fascinating. i highly recommend it for those who are into poker.

prediction: backgammon will become the new poker.

There are a lot of sites that have online backgammon, much like poker is now. I haven't ventured into that realm, and my game is novice at this point, other than playing it growing up.

I do not think that backgammon will be anywhere near as big as poker, until there is a huge payday in it, and has a "noobie" factor (which I think is very unlikely).

I started playing some of the cheaper WSOP's. Last year I was close. At Prima, there were doing a 6, 10 player S&G wins (or close finishes, depeding on which level you were at), and you were in.

Round 1 was $1. Placed 2nd, advanced (once you get 2nd in these tourneys, there is not much of a point in winning, as 2nd and 1st get the same prize)
Round 2, 2nd again, advanced
Round 3, 1st, advanced
Round 4, 1st, advanced
Round 5. lost, 2nd place. Nearly the same stack, but was smaller to a very small margin. Called AK all in against A9 and sucked a 9 on the turn.

Not very happy after that.

i stand by my prediction. there are backgammon tournaments, you know. just you wait. bravo will find out it has low budget appeal and that will be it.

watched some last night. definitely a downgrade.

but that online winner idea is kind of cool, and she kicked some butt...

Although I now realize that Phil Gordon was a pretty major part of this shows enjoyment level... :|
