Seattle, WA - If you missed the start of Wednesday night’s Kraken game at Climate Pledge Arena, where they hosted the Montreal Canadiens, you missed something truly special. Instead of the usual dual anthem performance by Kraken singer Tommy Burton, the team introduced cellist Anthony Kim, who played a beautiful instrumental version of "O Canada."

As the lyrics appeared (in both French and English) on the jumbotrons above center ice, fans in the arena began to sing along. Looking around, it was clear the moment had touched everyone's hearts, with both Kraken and Canadiens fans visibly moved. The impromptu sing-along was a heartwarming and organic way to honor our friends to the north before the puck dropped.

The Kraken often invite special guests for theme nights like Black Hockey History or Indigenous Peoples Night, but this was the first non-theme night in recent memory where they had a guest perform for the visiting team.

Next Game: Friday, March 14th vs. Utah Hockey Club - Women in Hockey Night - Puck drop scheduled for 7PM PST.
