Central Catholic's Luke Vlacovsky led the local honorees as the All-Ohio boys basketball teams were announced Wednesday for Divisions IV, V, VI and VII.
Vlacovsky made first team in Division V. He was the Stark County area's lone representative on the top three teams in Division IV-VII.
The All-Ohio girls basketball teams for Division IV, V, VI and VII were released Monday and for Division I, II and III on Tuesday. The all-state boys teams for Division I, II and III will be released Thursday.
Vlacovsky averaged 21.5 points to lead the county in scoring. A two-time Northeast Inland District Player of the Year and first team All-Ohioan, Vlacovsky added 5.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game as he led Central (18-7) to a third straight regional appearance. The 6-foot-2 senior guard shot 45.3% from the floor, 38.4% from 3-point range and 80.9% from the foul line. His 1,354 career points rank second in school history. He is a Walsh University recruit.
