Auburn basketball guard Chad Baker-Mazara left Saturday's NCAA Tournament game against Creighton with an apparent hip injury, forcing him to leave the court and head to the locker room.
He later returned to court action late in the second half after an extended period of rest, but was quickly removed from the game and sent back to the bench after looking uncomfortable while back in the game.
Baker-Mazara fell hard on his side after attempting to make a layup in the second half against the Bluejays. He was able to get up and make both of his free throws. He then, however, motioned to the bench to be subbed out and was in visible pain as he hobbled back on defense.

Baker-Mazara left the game as the Tigers' leading scorer with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting with two 3-pointers in the close game against No. 9 seed Creighton. The third-team All-SEC selection is also one of Auburn's most important defenders.

Baker-Mazara was visibly in pain and motioned to the sideline to be removed from the game after nailing both of his free-throw shots. He exited the court and went to the locker room and later returned to the sideline with ice on his hip.
