Here's Chad Reuter's (nfl.com) 7 Round Mock:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...reuter-2017-sevenround-nfl-mock-draft-round-1

His picks for the Cardinals are:

1. Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
2. Davis Webb, QB, California
3. **** Tabor, CB, Florida
4. Trey Hendrickson, DE, Florida Atlantic
5. Danny isidora, G, Miami
5. Toby Baker, P, Arkansas
6. Michael Roberts, TE, Toledo
7. Johnathan "Rudy" Ford, S, Auburn

Clearly Reuter has done his homework as a number of his Cardinals' picks are of players the Cardinals have worked out or visited with.

Your thoughts?

if you want, click on his mock to see who is available in each round and tell us which players you would take. I am going to do that and will be back with my picks. He has some players sliding very far down -- like G/C Pat Elflein of Ohio St. to the middle of Round 5 and the Cardinals taking G Danny Isidora in front of him. Maybe there are red flags on Elflein we don't know about? In most mocks I've read, Elfin is a 3rd round pick.

I saw this the other day also, and thought to myself, I'd rather have Foster or Reddick over Williams. I feel like Williams can be acquired in the lower end of the 1st, so maybe a possible trade back scenario there. And instead of Webb in the 2nd, he still has Baker, Humphrey and Cunningham available, who would all be much better picks at that point. Then just grab QB Kelly in the 6th, who I think is better than Webb anyways.

This is why I was saying yesterday, if the Cardinals are going to draft a QB, they should do it right. If they like Mahomes or Watson, take him at #13 and don't mess around. Both are available in Reuter's draft. If they don't like Mahomes or Watson enough, then wait until later in the draft to select a project QB.

Davis Webb doesn't have the 'it" factor, imho. I think he's a very eager kid, a hard worker and a good athlete. But, he's a back foot thrower all day long, which in the NFL, unless you are Aaron Rodgers, it's not going to work.

For right or for wrong I do not have good vibes about WR Mike Williams at #13. I think he will wind up being much like Michael Floyd...fighting through injuries and struggling to out up consistent numbers.

I like Corey Davis better, but even he at #13 seems too high and too risky. He's not BPA at #13, at least not in terms of the tapes I've watched of him and other top prospects.

There are other WRs I like just as much, who could be taken in the 3rd or 4th round...like Carlos Henderson of Louisiana Tech, TechArDarious Stewart of Alabama, Cooper Kupp of Eastern Washington and Josh Reynolds of Texas A&M...an then 5th round guys I like a lot in Taiwan Taylor of Western Kentucky, , Artavis Scott of Clemson, Ryan Switzer of North Carolina, Shelton Gibson of West Virginia and Chad Williams of Grambling (super sleeper).

The other thing is---I don't see any point in drafting a G or T earlier than pick #197, because he isn't going to make the team (waived and tried to sign to PS) and we can't afford to lose another 5th round pick. Nor do i see the Cardinals drafting a punter, as they got a good performance from Matt Wile and they already signed Richie Leone to challenge him.

I really like CB **** Tabor at #77, Trey Hendrickson at #120 and Michael Roberts at #197.

Thus, my preference would be:

1. Haason Reddick, LB, Temple or Patrick Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech
2. Budda Baker, FS, Washington
3. **** Tabor, CB, Flroida
4. Trey Hendrickson, DE, Florida Atlantic
5. James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh
5. Shelton Gibson, WR/PR, West Virginia
6. Michael Roberts, TE, Toledo
7. Blair Brown, ILB, Ohio

I would take Foster not knowing how the rest of the draft falls but hindsight being 20/20 based on this mock, here is who I would take:

1) Corey Davis - WR
2) Zach Cunningham - ILB
3) **** Tabor - CB
4) George Kittle - TE
5) Pat Elfein - C
5) Chad Kelly - QB
6) Jalen Myrick - CB 4.2 speed, special teams, slot corner at best
7) Blair Brown on Mitch's evaluation or A. Walker. These guys can be solid special teams players.

Drafting Webb would totally ruin my draft experience... Kelly drunk on the field would be a better option or even Watson with his shoe laces tied together lol
