Looks like Chad is doing well in Tucson. I wonder where he'll fit in with the Diamondbacks?

The way Chad Tracy sees it, the jump to Triple-A is about seizing the moment.

And lately, the 2002 Texas League player of the year is doing just that.

Tracy extended his hitting streak to seven games Sunday night in the Sidewinders' 9-5 loss to Omaha at Tucson Electric Park.

In his last six games, Tracy is 7 for 14 with six runs scored and six RBIs after earning a promotion from Double-A El Paso in the off-season.

"You don't see as many good pitches to hit each at-bat here," Tracy said, comparing the Pacific Coast League to Texas League.

Tracy was 2 for 4 - including a two-run single in Tucson's four-run first inning on Sunday - and reached base four times.

Last year at El Paso, Tracy led the Texas League in hitting (.344), hits (177) and doubles (39). He was hitting over .400 until mid-June last year.

"Up here, you have to prove that you can hit every pitch," said Tracy, who came into the game ranked 10th in the PCL hitting at .327. "They find a weakness, and exploit it."

Obviously management doesn't think that highly of him, or they would not have traded Kim for Hillenbrand. Seems like they are going to keep him at AAA for a while, or use him as trade bait. Too bad, looks to me like the kid can hit, but Brenly don't like guys that hit better than he did. :trout:What Yount should do to Brenly

You related to Yount?

Brenly doesn't make the decisions who to send up from Tucson, that's a Joe Jr. call.

I thought Brenly would decide that. He is the one who makes the line up. If the gm is bring guys up that don't fit with what you want to do; thats not good.
