I was watching an NFL Europe game this past weekend and I was focusing on our guy Burton. I was reasonably impressed with him - he showed good range, moved to the ball, showed some decent rush skills. How do you all think he will pan out for us this year?

A good special teamer, or he'll be cut. Chances are he's playing some good old fashioned "get after it" style football, so naturally he's going to look fluid & comfortable. Once he's back in Flagstaff, he's got to learn to channel his agressiveness, & instincts, a focus on his assignments:rolleyes:

you don't think he could push Thompson or Fisher? At least add some more depth on D?

6'1" - 240lbs - according to the Rhein Fire site he is playing OLB but it appeared in the game he was more of a rover - playing in the middle and the outside. The guys doing the telecast were talking him up as someone to be reckoned with. Then again NBC was doing that with He Hate Me :)

Stronso I don't think so. If memeory serves me correctly he was cut last year as an undrafted FA & later placed on the practice squad. Which puts him at an advantage because he got to study our boring style of Defense. It a numbers game & I don't see us cutting either of the 2 LB's we drafted. I think our LB"s could look like this keeping 7 or 8 Thompson,Fisher, Woods,Darling, McKinnon, T.Faulk, * Hayes, & Tony Gilbert. Greg Jones could also factor into the mix....It's an uphill climb for him that's for sure.

horanmatt..easy there..if you would have watched any preseason games this year you would probably change your opinion that we currently have the worst defense in the league.
