That's probably more down to unrealistic expectations

It's down to he's not as good as we were told he was going to be. Not everyone is as good as Jefferson or chase right away but that's what we told we were getting, a kid that would be on their rookie years level.

Some of that may be the QB but most of it is just they were much better players as rookies than he is.

The game is gonna slow down for him, I'm not worried about Marv. When you zoom out and look at his production as a whole he's having a decent rookie season.

Nabers? He has 10 yards per reception. That's not good. 900 yards on 140 targets, he's not even a part of the conversation.

You know who is throwing to him? Derek Dorkdinkle.

I think the problems in this offense are:
1A) offensive scheme.
1B) Kyler's play in said scheme.
3. WRs.

tucker was on I think the Dan Patrick show and he kind of said something similar. He said for people that wonder why Petzing plays 3 TE's so much and run the ball so much he said they just don't have the Wr's to challenge people downfield.

Imagine this team with Joe Alt and Ladd McConkey. The front office is paid to strategically build the team and project ahead. This front office seemed to be focused on obtaining as many picks as possible and then throwing darts at the wall after round 1 (reference trading down for Max Melton)

McConkey is great but he's not a speed receiver either. That's the point people are making, and Tucker made it during the game. The Cards need more speed on offense, particularly at WR, and we need someone to get open downfield on 3rd down so we don't end up throwing so many 50/50 balls. McConkey could be the get open guy.

I'm fine with the pick, I just think it's fair to call out what is, the passing game is a combination of the play calls, Kyler, and the limitations of the Wr room.

Reminder, Cleveland got Jeudy for a 5th and 6th rounder in March and then gave him a new contract extension. You do that before the draft you have much more flexibility during the draft if someone wants to move up, you don't HAVE to take Marv you can move down take another WR and get more picks. We had money to spend and didn't use it.

Great point. In all fairness, the responsibility falls on the front office.
