This type of delusion is why I will be over the top for K1

It’s one thing to say K1 gags in big moments it’s another to state the above and be serious
Sorry, your boy just isn’t that “ great”. We changed coaches, wr’s, developed one of the best running games and he still is mediocre at best.
But don’t worry, Kyler will be our qb next year so you have a lot of time to continue to coddle him. Unfortunately you are going to have to put up with Petzing so we all will have our crosses to bear.

Only Conner has been relied upon or reliable. Offense rests on a 29 year old RB.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s what scares me most. Our offense is dependent upon an aged runningback. Benson needs to show more next season to give me hope that he can become part of a mcbride/MHJ/benson core on offense.

I think Benson will step up and get a lot more reps which will help Connor.

Imagine drafting Nabers at 4 and McConkey at 27 lol
Nabers (MHJ) and trading up for BTJ.

I said we could have our chance to correct the 2019 2nd round of AJ Brown (or Deebo) and DK Metcalf instead of BM and Isabella.

I know you are out on Petzing but
I don’t believe Monti will be. Now, a discussion about WR coaching? That probably happens or has happened and will be revisited.
Problem is they love the WR coach just as much as Petzing.

I want change so if they love the coaches that much then they need to change the QB. Time to find out who was really at fault or if they were being held back.

Not a defense of Kyler at all, but the deep INT is a play where you'd hope your "star" receiver could make a play. He's got good position on the DB, he's got size and he doesn't even really come close to getting that ball.

if you watch the replay it's really weird and you can see Kyler and the coach talking about it on the sideline after.

All year I've been yelling at Marv to come back for the ball. On this one he readies himself to jump and then jumps and reaches back for the ball, it's why it went over his hands. He mistimed the jump and then tried to reach back to get it.

While Warner was correctly pointing out the DB should have knocked it down not caught it, you can see Kyler and the coach looking at it on the computer and you can see his frustration because he's wondering the same thing, why did he reach back for the ball instead of jumping straight up and trying to highpoint it. Basically the same ball Kyler threw to D HOp against Buffalo the difference is DHop highpointed it.

It's a dumb throw although in hindsight I've slow moed the replay on youtube and there's nobody open when he threw it the only other option was to try and run for it.

It is crazy if the play to Trey ends up a TD as it easily could have, that DB is taking all the blame for not knocking the throw down

Jay Gruden’s eval of MHJ. A quick summary. Not bad, but disappointing and lots of room to develop.

It's worse than that. He said he expected much more from him and he just hasn't seen it. Not using his size for jump balls, not running by people, no suddenness on his routes. After him Colt McCoy just outright says it big disappointment for the Cards so far.

When? He got injured after 137 snaps.

I'm really hoping he plays next week. I don't know if it's a high ankle or not, if it is he's probably done. But I would love to see him get 18-20 carries in the game when it counts and see what he can do.

All those carries Carter got after Conner went out yesterday could have been Benson if he played.

I actually missed this live but on youtube saw it., On the last drive there's an 8 yard out pass to Marv to the left sideline. As Kurt is calling it a great throw and catch the replay you can see Marv body catches it and bobbles it as he's going out of bounds. I think if the rams had challenged it they probably rule it no catch.

he really has to learn to catch the ball with his hands not his body

Didn’t carry the load in college either. Probably needs to earn the benefit of the doubt, yeah?
This is/was my concern. A guy who didn't handle a lot of carries in college gets injured in his first NFL year while still not getting a lot of carries. It's why I thought the Cardinals needed to extend Conner.

Tons of guys look like they should be able to carry the load based on body type or whatever are unable to handle the rigors of the NFL. Including James Conner.

Benson only played more than 20 snaps in one game, in week 2. Only had two games with double-digit rushes. Tim Hightower won the starting job from Edgerrin James his rookie year. David Johnson earned the starting job with five games left his rookie season.

Trey Benson played 11 snaps in his last game.

I thought he was going to drop it, but the defender hit it right back into his arms. I give the defender an assist on that catch.

There's a WR coach? Could have fooled me...

Apparently the guy they expected to take over for Petzing once a team hires.

I thought Hollywood Brown looked worse under this WR coach. Wilson hasn't taken a big leap, MHJ inconsistency and yet is the next guy in line.

I thought Hollywood Brown looked worse under this WR coach. Wilson hasn't taken a big leap, MHJ inconsistency and yet is the next guy in line.

The thing with Hollywood his last year here was he was playing a position he just couldn't play and for the first half of the year with Dobbs who can't throw the ball. He was being asked to be the X receiver.

Wilson talked about it earlier this year, when Brown was out, Wilson had to play the X, I think it was about 3 or 4 games and he said I realized then how much tougher that position is in this offense, you see more contested catches, more lower percentage throws. This was the interview where Wilson was predicting a big breakthrough game soon from Marv because he felt Marv was starting to figure out the NFL and the X position in the offense.

Actually really thinking what Wilson said about the X position in THIS offense has a point. Hollwyood was about 50% catches to targets. Marv is just over 50 himself. Has a higher YPC and more TD's than Hollywood did although again about half of Hollywoods games were with Dobbs so not a direct comparison.

But I think that part is a fair defense for MHJ, he's actually done better as a rookie than Brown did as a veteran guy in the same position
