This is great news for Phoenix and downtown! Im very excited. In a way its good we had to wait so long, we know its going to be a less than perfect experience due to the weather, but at least by 2011 downtown will be greatly improved over how it was in say 1999. Lots of new offices, retail, restaurants and hotels have been opening downtown in the last 2 years or so and that'll continue, so hopefully it'll make for a fun experience for out of town guests.

Ive always thought it would be cool if they put solar panels on the middle two panels of the roof (the ones that are always on top/exposed). But yah, they at least need to repaint the roof and/or maybe clad it in something that won't show dirt so much.
