A lot of great coaches were never HOF's, all pros, pro bowlers, or even starters.
A few never even made the pros.

I think you both missed my point, He obviously possessed enough talent to play at the NFL level.. I guess what I was trying to say was:

You would think someone who was as big a study junkie as CC was, he would have had a knack for jumping routes, knowing tendencies etc..

I never saw his play as "heady". JMHO

Not a huge market for 33 yr old safeties but expect to see him as a Kiper/McShay type but would love to get him back in the Cards fold in some scouting capacity.
