The Kansas City Chiefs have been hard at work upgrading their roster this month, but the beginning of baseball season presented the team's front office with a worthy chance to take a quick break.

On Thursday, the Kansas City Royals hosted the Cleveland Guardians at Kauffman Stadium in a highly anticipated season opener that sold out earlier this week.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, general manager Brett Veach, and president Mark Donovan made a trip across the Truman Sports Complex for Opening Day and were seen in a luxury box with Royals owner John Sherman in a picture that was posted to Twitter:

Though the Royals got out to an early lead with Reid, Veach, and Donovan in the stands, the Guardians stole momentum in the middle innings to force Kansas City to make a comeback.

Stay tuned to see if Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is a minority owner of the Royals, will share his thoughts on the team's Opening Day performance.
